आचरण सुंदर तो तन और मन भी सुंदर

बात उन दिनों की है जब भगवान श्रीराम अपने 14 वर्षों के वनवास के दौरान चित्रकूट में थे। भगवान राम एवं माता सीता कुटिया के बाहर बैठे हुए थे।

लक्ष्मणजी उनके चरणों में बैठे थे। तभी श्रीराम ने कहा कि लक्ष्मण यहां आओ मेरे और सीता के बीच एक झगड़ा हो गया है। इसलिए तुम न्याय करो।

लक्ष्मण जी मान गए। तब श्रीराम-‘ मैं कहता हूं कि मेरे चरण सुंदर हैं। सीता कहती हैं उनके चरण सुंदर हैं। तुम दोनों के चरणों की पूजा करते हो। अब तुम ही फैसला करो कि किसके चरण सुंदर हैं। लक्ष्मणजी बोले आप मुझे इस धर्म संकट में मत डालिए।

तब श्रीराम ने समझाया कि तुम बैरागी हो। निर्भय होकर कहो। किसके चरण सुंदर हैं। राम के चरणों को दिखाते हुए लक्ष्मणजी बोले कि माता, इन चरणों से आपके चरण सुंदर हैं। इतना कहते हुए लक्ष्मण जी चुप हो गए और माता सीता खुश।

इस पर लक्ष्मण जी बोले माता अधिक खुश मत होना। भगवान राम के चरण हैं, तभी आपके चरणों की कीमत है। इनके चरण न हों तो आपके चरण सुंदर नहीं लग सकते। रामजी खुश हो गए।

तब लक्ष्मणजी फिर बोले कि आप दोनों को खुश होने की जरूरत नहीं। आप दोनों के चरणों के अलावा भी एक चरण हैं जिसके कारण ही आपके चरणों की पूजा होती है यानी आचरण। आचरण की कोई कीमत नहीं। महराज, आपके चरण सुंदर हैं तो उसका कारण आपका महान आचरण है।

Laxman ji said that mother would not be more happy Lord Rama is the stage, then you have the cost of your feet. If you do not have these steps, then your steps can not look beautiful. Ramji was happy.

Then Lakshmanaji then said that you neither need to be happy. Apart from the stages of both of you, there is a phase, due to which your steps are worshiped that means conduct. No cost of conduct. Maharaj, if your stage is beautiful, then its reason is your great behavior.
