Dr. Narendra Singh was born in the year 1961 in the prominent family of Sh. Padam Singh Ji and Smt. Chandravati Devi at village Pidawali, Bayana, Distt. Bharatpur, Rajasthan. He did his initial schooling in the Kala Mandir School Bharatpur. Thereafter he completed his M.Tech. & Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. He has also done Post Doctoral Studies from the dept. of Fuel and Energy (University of Leeds) England. He has served the Govt. of India in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in the various capacities from 1988 to 2008. He has been associated with many pioneering projects in the country such as; Solar Thermal Power Generation Technologies, Large scale wind energy projects and Capacity building of premier institutions in the country. He was also involved in the promotion of quality technical education in the country as Regional Director of AICTE responsible for Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala & Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Singh was also associated with National Board of Accreditation for quality assurance of technical education colleges in the country. Dr. Singh was also All India Director of Continuing Education Programme of AICTE at Bangalore. Dr. Singh has been on the board of governors of premier management institutes such as IIM Bangalore, National Institute of Technology, Surathkal etc. He has also been awarded UNDP fellowship and World Bank – GEF fellowship through which he has visited many pioneering institutions in countries like USA, Australia, Germany, Austria etc. such as university of California, Berkeley, USA: University of Miami, Miami USA; California Energy Commission, USA : University of New South Wales, Sydney : University of Queensland, Brisben, Australia : Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.
