यकीन कीजिए! एक चाकू से भी ले सकते हैं सीख

जब स्वामी विवेकानंद शिकागो की धर्मसभा में बोलने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया था। तब वह यात्रा पर जाने से पूर्व वह स्वामी रामकृष्ण परमहंस की धर्मपत्नी गुरु मां शारदा से आशीर्वाद लेने गए।

चरण स्पर्श के पश्चात गुरु मां से वह बोले, ‘मुझे भारतीय संस्कृति पर बोलने के लिए अमेरिका से आमंत्रण मिला है। मुझे आपका आशीर्वाद चाहिए।’ मां शारदा ने कहा, ‘आशीर्वाद के लिए कल आना। मैं पहले देखूंगी कि तुम्हें पात्रता है भी या नहीं?’

विवेकानंदजी चले गए और दूसरे दिन फिर उनके पास आए । मां शारदा रसोई में थीं। आशीर्वाद की बात पर गुरु मां ने कहा, ‘पहले तुम मुझे वह चाकू उठाकर दो मुझे सब्जी काटनी है।’

विवेकानंदजी ने चाकू मां शारदा की ओर बढ़ाया। चाकू लेते हुए ही मां शारदा ने बहुत सारी नेक बातें बताईं। और कहा अब मेरा आशीर्वाद तुम्हारे पास है। स्वामी जी को यह पूरा घटनाक्रम समझ में नहीं आया। लेकिन वह चले गए।

उन्होंने पूछा आपने आशीर्वाद देने से पहले मुझसे चाकू क्यों उठवाया था। तब मां शारदा बोलीं, ‘तुम्हारा मन देखने के लिए।’

मां शारदा ने कहा, ‘जब तुमने चाकू दिया तो धार वाला हिस्सा अपनी तरफ रखा और सुरक्षित हिस्सा मुझे दिया। संत वह है जो दूसरों की आपदा को दूर कर स्वयं आपदा में जीते हुए लोगों का कल्याण करें।

When Swami Vivekananda was invited to speak in Chicago’s Synod. Then, before going on the trip, he went to seek blessings from Swami Ramkrishna Paramhans, the spiritual teacher, mother Sharda.

After touching the stage, he said to the master mother, ‘I got an invitation from the US to speak on Indian culture. I want your blessings. ‘ Mother Sharda said, ‘Come tomorrow for blessings. I will first see whether you have eligibility or not? ‘

Vivekanandji went away and came again to him the next day. Mother Sharda was in the kitchen. On the matter of blessing, the master said, ‘First you take me that knife and I have to cut the vegetable.’

Vivekanandji extended his knife to Sharda While taking a knife, mother Sharda told many good things. And now you have my blessings. Swamiji did not understand this whole event. But he went away.

He asked why you had given me a knife before blessing. Then the mother said to Sharda, ‘To see your mind.’

Mother Sharda said, ‘When you gave a knife, kept the part of the edge on its side and gave me safe part. The saint is the one who brings relief from the disaster of others and the people who live in disaster themselves.
