Swaraj is my birthright and I will take it.

Hindi to English

‘Swaraj is our birthright and we will continue to do it’, the life of Balgangadhar Tilak, who gave this huffy slogan, has been similar to these sentences. The talk is of the time when Bal Gangadhar Tilak was younger in age. He was in his school. At that time all the students were eating peanuts in the classroom.

The children threw peanuts peel in the orbit, thereby causing them much dirt. After a while, the teacher came there and was very angry. They beat all the kids with their stick.

When the turn of Gangadhar Tilak came, he did not extend his hand to kill. When the teacher said that to extend his hand then he said, ‘I have not messed up the class so I will not be killed.’

The teacher’s anger increased further after listening to him. Teacher complained to his principal. After this, his complaint reached Tilak’s house and his father had to come to school.

Tilak’s father told the school that his son had no money. He could not buy peanuts. Bal Gangadhar Tilak never bowed in front of injustice in his life. On that day if Tilak had killed his teacher in fear of a teacher, his courage would have ended in his childhood.
