अर्जुन का घमंड कैसे हुआ चूर चूर

एक दिन भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन टहलने निकल गए। रास्ते में उनकी भेंट एक निर्धन ब्राह्मण से हुई। उन्होंने उस ब्राह्मण को देखा कि वह ब्राह्मण बहुत ही निर्धन था और उसका व्यवहार भी थोड़ा विचित्र था।

वह ब्राह्मण सूखी घास खा रहा था और उसकी कमर से तलवार लटक रही थी। लटकती हुई तलवार को देख अर्जुन थोड़ा चौंका और उससे रहा न गया तो अर्जुन ने उससे पूछा- ब्राह्मण देव आप तो अहिंसा के पुजारी हैं। जीव हिंसा के भय से सूखी घास खाकर अपना गुजारा करते हैं। लेकिन फिर हिंसा का यह उपकरण तलवार आपके साथ क्यों है?’

अर्जुन की बात सुनकर ब्राह्मण ने जवाब दिया की मैं कुछ लोगों को दंडित करना चाहता हूं। इसलिए मैंने यह तलवार अपने साथ रखी है। यह सुन अर्जुन ने पुछा कि आपके शत्रु कौन हैं ?

ब्राह्मण ने जवाब देते हुए कहा कि ‘मैं चार लोगों को खोज रहा हूं, ताकि उनसे अपना हिसाब चुकता कर सकूं। उनमे से सबसे पहले तो मुझे नारद की तलाश है।

नारद मेरे प्रभु को आराम नहीं करने देते, सदा भजन-कीर्तन कर उन्हें जागृत रखते हैं।

फिर मैं द्रौपदी पर भी बहुत क्रोधित हूं। उसने मेरे प्रभु को ठीक उसी समय पुकारा, जब वह भोजन करने बैठे थे।उन्हें तत्काल खाना छोड़ पांडवों को दुर्वासा ऋषि के शाप से बचाने जाना पड़ा। शबरी जिन्होंने उसने मेरे भगवान को जूठा खाना खिलाया।

तब अर्जुन ने पूछा आपका तीसरा शत्रु कौन है? वह है हृदयहीन प्रह्लाद। उस निर्दयी ने मेरे प्रभु को गरम तेल के कड़ाह में प्रविष्ट कराया, हाथी के पैरों तले कुचलवाया और अंत में खंभे से प्रकट होने के लिए विवश किया।

और मेरा चौथा शत्रु है अर्जुन। उसकी दुष्टता तो देखो उसने मेरे भगवान को अपना सारथी बना डाला। उसे भगवान की असुविधा का थोड़ा भी ध्यान नहीं रहा। कितना कष्ट हुआ होगा मेरे प्रभु को। यह कहते ही ब्राह्मण की आंखों में आंसू आ गए।

जब अर्जुन ने यह सुना तो वह दंग रह गया। उसने श्रीकृष्ण से क्षमा मांगी और कहा , मान गया प्रभु, इस संसार में न जाने आपके कितने तरह के भक्त हैं और मैं तो उनके सामने कुछ भी नहीं। ब्राह्मण का प्रभु के लिए यह प्रेम देख अर्जुन कि आँखों में आंसू आ गए और उसका घमंड चूर-चूर हो गया।

One day Lord Krishna and Arjuna went for a walk. On the way, he met a poor Brahmin. He saw the Brahmin that the Brahmin was very poor and his behavior was also a little strange.

The Brahmin was eating hay and a sword was hanging from his waist. Seeing the hanging sword, Arjun was a bit shocked and if he could not stand it, Arjun asked him – Brahmin Dev, you are a priest of non-violence. Creatures live by eating hay in fear of violence. But then why is this sword of violence with you? ‘

On hearing Arjuna, the Brahmin replied that I want to punish some people. That is why I have kept this sword with me. Hearing this, Arjun asked who are your enemies?

The Brahmin replied that “I am searching for four people, so that I can settle my account with them.” First of them, I am looking for Narada.

Narada does not allow my lord to rest, always keep him awake after doing bhajan-kirtan.

Then I am also angry with Draupadi. He called my lord at the exact moment when he sat down to eat. He had to leave the food immediately and save the Pandavas from the curse of the sage Durvasa. Shabri who fed my God to him.

Then Arjun asked who is your third enemy? He is heartless Prahlada. The ruthless entrenched my lord in a cauldron of hot oil, crushed under the elephant’s feet and finally forced to appear from the pillar.

And my fourth enemy is Arjuna. Look at his wickedness, he made my lord his charioteer. He did not mind even a little of the inconvenience of God. My God must have suffered so much. As soon as he said this, the Brahmin had tears in his eyes.

When Arjuna heard this, he was stunned. He apologized to Shri Krishna and said, “O Lord, I do not know how many devotees you have in this world and I am nothing in front of them.” Seeing the love of the Brahmin for the Lord, Arjun got tears in his eyes and his pride was crushed.
