होशियार मुखिया की कहानी

एक समय की बात है रामपुर गांव में जावेद नाम का एक दूधिया रहता था। गांव के सभी व्यक्तियों को वही दूध देता था। कोई भी दूधिया बाहर से उस गांव में नहीं आता था क्योंकि उस गांव में आने के लिए एक नदी को पार करना पड़ता था।

जावेद ने गांव में ही 3 गाय लेकर अपनी डेयरी खोल रखी थी जिससे वह पुरे गांव में दूध सप्लाई करता था। अकेला दूधिया होने के कारण वह गांव में बहुत मनमानी करता था और कभी भी दूध के दाम को बढ़ा देता था। एक दिन वह एक महिला को दूध देने गया तो उसने उस महिला को बोला कल से दूध 35 रूपए किलो हो गया है।

महिला ने अभी कुछ दिन पहले तो तुमने दूध 25 से 30 रूपए किलो किया था। उसने महिला से बोला यदि तुमको दूध चाहिए तो बताओ नहीं तो कल से मत लेना। उसके इस दूध के बढे हुए दाम से परेशान होकर कुछ लोग मिलकर गांव के मुखिया के पास गए।

उनने मुखिया से बोला की जावेद दूधिया अपनी मर्जी से बार बार दूध के दाम बढ़ा रहा है और इसके अलावा उसका दूध भी पानी की तरह पतला होता जा रहा है।

गांव के मुखिया ने लोगों की समस्या को सुना और इसका हल निकालने के लिए कहा। मुखिया ने गांव के जमाकोश में अपने मुनीम को रूपए चेक करने को कहा।

मुनीम ने बताया उसमे 10000 रूपए है। मुखिया अपने मुनीम के साथ गौशाला गया गाय को देखने के लिए। वहाँ जाकर मुखिया ने गाय का दाम पूछा एक गाय का दाम गाय बेचने वाले व्यक्ति ने 1000 रूपए बताया। गाय के बारे में जानकर मुखिया को पता चला की एक गाय 30 किलो दूध देती है जो की उनके गांव के लिए सही है।

उसने अपने मुनीम से पूछा जावेद दूधिये के पास कितनी गाय है मुनीम ने बताया उसके पास केवल 3 गाय है। मुखिया ने गाय के मालिक से कहा हमें पांच गाय चाहिए आप कितना दाम लगा सकते है। इस पर उस व्यक्ति ने बोला यदि आप पांच गाय लेंगे तो में 4000 रूपए में आपको पांच गाय दे दूंगा। इस बात पर मुखिया ने सहमत होते हुए कल आने को बोला।

गांव जाकर पहले उनने गाय के लिए एक गौशाला बनायीं। उसके बाद गांव में ये ऐलान कर दिया की कल सभी गांव वालो को मुखिया के पास एकत्रित होना है। अगले दिन गांव के जमाकोश में से 4000 ले जाकर मुखिया 5 गाय खरीद लाया और उनने उसका दूध निकाला और उसकी मिठाई बनायीं।

जब लोग जमा हो गए तो सबसे पहले मुखिया ने सब गांव वालों में पहले मिठाई बटवायीं। उसके बाद जावेद से पूछा तुम्हारे पास कितनी गाय है उसने कहा तीन गाय। मुखिया ने बोला तुम दुकानों में कितना दूध देते हो। जावेद ने बताया 40 किलो।

मुखिया ने कहा यदि तुम्हारी 3 गाय कुल 90 किलो दूध भी देती है तो उसमे से तुम 40 किलो दूकान में बेच देते हो उसके बाद तुम्हारे पास 50 किलो दूध बच जाता है लेकिन हमारे गांव में 100 दूध की खपत को तुम कैसे पूरा करते हो।

तब यह पता चल गया की जावेद दूध में आधा पानी मिलाता है। इसके बाद जावेद गांव के गुस्से से बचने के लिए वहाँ से भाग गया। जिसके बाद एक व्यक्ति ने पूछा अब गांव में दूध कौन देगा। तब मुखिया ने बताया वह गांव के जमाकोश से गांव के लिए 5 गाय लेकर आये है।

जो की कुल 150 किलो दूध देंगी। जिससे 100 किलो गांव के लोगों को और 50 किलो दुकानों में दिया जायेगा। इससे गांव के ही 2 लोगों को रोज़गार भी दिया जायेगा और अब से दूध 10 रूपए  किलो मिलेगा। यह सुनकर सभी गांव वाले ख़ुश हो गए और मुखिया की समझदारी को सरहाने लगे।

English Translation

Once upon a time there lived a milkman named Javed in Rampur village. He used to give milk to all the people of the village. No milkman used to come to that village from outside because a river had to be crossed to come to that village.

Javed had opened his dairy with 3 cows in the village itself, from which he used to supply milk to the entire village. Being the only milkman, he used to do a lot of arbitrariness in the village and used to increase the price of milk anytime. One day when he went to give milk to a woman, he told that woman, since yesterday the milk has become Rs 35 a kg.
A few days back, the lady had made you 25 to 30 rupees a kg of milk. He said to the woman if you want milk, then tell me, otherwise don’t take it from tomorrow. Disturbed by the increased price of his milk, some people together went to the head of the village.
He told the chief that Javed Dudhiya is increasing the price of milk again and again of his own free will and apart from this his milk is also becoming thin like water.
The head of the village listened to the problems of the people and asked them to find a solution. The headman asked his accountant to check the money in the depository of the village.
The bookkeeper told that there is 10000 rupees in it. The head with his accountant went to the cowshed to see the cow. Going there the chief asked the price of the cow, the person selling the cow told the price of a cow as 1000 rupees. Knowing about the cow, the chief came to know that a cow gives 30 kg of milk, which is right for his village.
He asked his accountant how many cows Javed Dudhiye has, the bookkeeper told that he has only 3 cows. The chief said to the owner of the cow, we want five cows, how much can you charge. On this the person said if you take five cows, I will give you five cows for 4000 rupees. Agreeing to this, the chief asked him to come tomorrow.
Before going to the village, he built a cowshed for the cow. After that it was announced in the village that tomorrow all the villagers have to gather with the headman. The next day, taking 4000 from the village’s deposit, the chief bought 5 cows and they milked it and made its sweets.
When people gathered, the chief first distributed sweets among all the villagers. After that asked Javed how many cows do you have, he said three cows. The chief said how much milk do you give in the shops. Javed told 40 kg.
The chief said that even if your 3 cows give 90 kg of milk, then you sell 40 kg of it in the shop, after that you have 50 kg of milk left, but how do you meet the consumption of 100 milk in our village.
Then it came to know that Javed mixes half water in milk. After this Javed ran away to escape the anger of the village. After which a person asked, now who will give milk in the village. Then the chief told that he has brought 5 cows for the village from the depository of the village.
Which will give a total of 150 kg of milk. Due to which 100 kg will be given to the people of the village and 50 kg will be given in shops. With this, employment will also be given to 2 people of the village and from now on, milk will be available at Rs.10/kg. Hearing this, all the villagers became happy and started appreciating the wisdom of the chief.
