“चुण्डावत मांगी सैनानी सिर काट दे दियो क्षत्राणी”

राजस्थान के इतिहास की वह घटना जब एक राजपूत रानी विवाह के सिर्फ सात दिन बाद आपने शीश अपने हाथो से काट कर युद्ध में जाने को तैयार अपने को भिजवा दिया ताकि उनका पति नयी नवेली पत्नी की खूबसूरती में उलझ कर अपना कर्तव्य न भूले

हाड़ी रानी जिसने युद्ध में जाते अपने पति को निशानी मांगने पर अपना सिर काट कर भिजवा दिया था यह रानी बूंदी के हाडा शासक की बेटी थी और उदयपुर (मेवाड़) के सलुम्बर ठिकाने के रावत रतन सिंह चुण्डावत की रानी थी

जिनकी शादी का गठ्जोडा खुलने से पहले ही उसके पति रावत चुण्डावत को मेवाड़ के महाराणा राज सिंह (1653-1681) का औरंगजेब के खिलाफ मेवाड़ की रक्षार्थ युद्ध का फरमान मिला

नई-नई शादी होने और अपनी रूपवती पत्नी को छोड़ कर रावत चुण्डावत का तुंरत युद्ध में जाने का मन नही हो रहा था यह बात रानी को पता लगते ही उसने तुंरत रावत जी को मेवाड़ की रक्षार्थ जाने व वीरता पूर्वक युद्ध करने का आग्रह किया

युद्ध में जाते रावत चुण्डावत पत्नी मोह नही त्याग पा रहे थे सो युद्ध में जाते समय उन्होंने अपने सेवक को रानी के रणवास में भेज रानी की कोई निशानी लाने को कहा

सेवक के निशानी मांगने पर रानी ने यह सोच कर कि कहीं उसके पति पत्नीमोह में युद्ध से विमुख न हो जाए या वीरता नही प्रदर्शित कर पाए इसी आशंका के चलते इस वीर रानी ने अपना शीश काट कर ही निशानी के तौर पर भेज दिया ताकि उसका पति अब उसका मोह त्याग निर्भय होकर अपनी मातृभूमि के लिए युद्ध कर सके और रावत चुण्डावत ने अपनी पत्नी का कटा शीश गले में लटका औरंगजेब की सेना के साथ भयंकर युद्ध किया

अपने बंधन से मुक्त होकर उन्होंने अद्वतीय शौर्य दिखाया और वीरता पूर्वक लड़ते हुए अपनी मातृभूमि के लिए वीर गति हो गए और दूसरे राजपूतो के की भांति वो भी वीर गति को प्राप्त होकर एक अमर कहानी लिख गए…..

The incident in the history of Rajasthan when a Rajput queen cut off her head with her own hands and sent herself ready to go to war after just seven days of marriage so that her husband does not forget his duty by getting entangled in the beauty of the new wife.
Hadi Rani, who sent her head to her husband when he asked for a sign while going to war. This queen was the daughter of Hada ruler of Bundi and was the queen of Rawat Ratan Singh Chundawat of Salumbar base of Udaipur (Mewar).
Whose husband Rawat Chundawat got the decree of Mewar’s Maharana Raj Singh (1653-1681) to fight for the protection of Mewar against Aurangzeb even before the marriage alliance was opened.
Rawat Chundawat did not feel like going to war immediately after getting newly married and leaving his beautiful wife, as soon as the queen came to know about this, she immediately urged Rawat ji to go to the defense of Mewar and fight bravely.
While going to war, Rawat Chundawat was not able to give up his wife’s affection, so while going to war, he sent his servant to the queen’s exile and asked him to bring some token of the queen.
On asking for a sign from the servant, the queen, thinking that her husband might turn away from the war due to infatuation or could not show bravery, due to this apprehension, this brave queen sent her own head as a sign so that her husband Now he can sacrifice his love and fearlessly fight for his motherland.
And Rawat Chundawat fought a fierce battle with Aurangzeb’s army with his wife’s severed head hanging around his neck.
Freed from his shackles, he showed unparalleled bravery and fought valiantly for his motherland and became Veer Gati and like other Rajputs, he also attained Veer Gati and wrote an immortal story…..
