साहस के बल पर कोलंबस ने पाई थी सफलता

12 अक्टूबर वर्ष 1492 के दिन, खोजी नाविक क्रिस्टोफर कोलंबस का अभियान कैरेबियन पहुंचा। कोलंबस ने यात्रा के दौरान खोजे आइलैंड का नाम सैन सैल्वाडोर रखा, जो आज ‘बहामास ‘के नाम से जाना जाता है। वो मान चुका था कि बाहामास, जापान है और यात्रा के दौरान उसने क्यूबा को चीन समझ लिया था।

कोलंबस ने ‘ला नैवीदाद’ की भी खोज की थी, जिसे आज हैती कहा जाता है, ये दुनिया की पहली यूरोपीय कॉलोनी थी, कोलंबस ने वहां करीब 39 लोगों को जीवन बसाने के लिए छोड़ दिया था।
