खाली में श्रीकृष्ण रहते है

सन्यासी ने एक डिब्बे की ओर इशारा करते हुए दुकानदार” से पूछा, “इसमें क्या है?”

दुकानदार ने कहा, “इसमें नमक है।”

सन्यासी ने फिर पूछा, “इसके पास वाले में क्या है ?”

दुकानदार ने कहा, “इसमें हल्दी है।”

इसी प्रकार सन्यासी पूछ्ते गए और दुकानदार बतलाता रहा।

अंत मे पीछे रखे डिब्बे का नंबर आया, सन्यासी ने पूछा, “उस अंतिम डिब्बे में क्या है?”

दुकानदार बोला, “उसमें श्रीकृष्ण हैं।”

सन्यासी ने हैरान होते हुये पूछा, “श्रीकृष्ण !! भला यह “श्रीकृष्ण” किस वस्तु का नाम है भाई? मैंने तो इस नाम के किसी सामान के बारे में कभी नहीं सुना !”

दुकानदार सन्यासी के भोलेपन पर हंस कर बोला, “महात्मन ! और डिब्बों मे तो भिन्न-भिन्न वस्तुएं हैं | पर यह डिब्बा खाली है| हम खाली को खाली नहीं कहकर श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं !”

संन्यासी की आंखें खुली की खुली रह गई ! जिस बात के लिये मैं दर-दर भटक रहा था, वो बात मुझे आज एक व्यापारी से समझ आ रही है। वो सन्यासी उस छोटे से किराने के दुकानदार के चरणों में गिर पड़ा, ओह, तो खाली में श्रीकृष्ण रहता है !

सत्य है ! भरे हुए में श्रीकृष्ण को स्थान कहाँ ?

काम, क्रोध, लोभ, मोह, लालच, अभिमान, ईर्ष्या, द्वेष और भली-बुरी, सुख-दुख की बातों से जब दिल-दिमाग भरा रहेगा तो उसमें ईश्वर का वास कैसे होगा ?

English Translation

Sanyasi pointed to a box and asked the shopkeeper, “What’s in it?”

The shopkeeper said, “There is salt in it.”

The monk then asked, “What’s in the one near it?”

The shopkeeper said, “It contains turmeric.”

Similarly, the monk went to ask and the shopkeeper kept telling.

Finally came the number of boxes kept in the back, the monk asked, “What’s in that last box?”

The shopkeeper said, “There is Sri Krishna in it.”

The sannyasi asked in astonishment, “Sri Krishna !! Well, what is the name of this” Shri Krishna “brother? I have never heard of anything of this name!”

The shopkeeper laughed at the cynosure of the monk, “Mahatmaan! And there are different items in the coaches. But this box is empty. We call Sri Krishna as empty and not empty!”

The monk’s eyes were wide open! The thing for which I was wandering from rate to rate, I understand this from a businessman today. That sannyasin fell at the feet of that small grocery shopper, oh, so Sri Krishna lives in empty!

true ! Where is Sri Krishna’s place in the full?

How will God reside when there is a heart-mind filled with things like work, anger, greed, fascination, greed, pride, jealousy, malice and good and bad, happiness and sorrow?
