मुक्ति का उपाय

एक सज्जन स्वामी रामकृष्ण परमहंस के पास सत्संग के लिए पहुँचे। बातचीत के दौरान उन्होंने प्रश्न किया, ‘महाराज, मुक्ति कब होगी?’ परमहंसजी ने कहा, ‘जब ‘मैं’ चला जाएगा, तब स्वतः मुक्ति की अनुभूति करने लगोगे।

स्वामीजी ने बताया, ‘मैं दो तरह का होता है-एक पक्का मैं और दूसरा कच्चा मैं। जो कुछ मैं देखता, सुनता या महसूस करता हूँ, उसमें कुछ भी मेरा नहीं,

यहाँ तक कि शरीर भी मेरा नहीं। मैं ज्ञानस्वरूप हूँ, यह पक्का मैं है। यह मेरा मकान है, यह मेरा पुत्र है, यह मेरी पत्नी है, यह सब सोचना कच्चा मैं है।

स्वामीजी कहते हैं, जिस दिन यह दृढ़ विश्वास हो जाएगा कि ईश्वर ही सबकुछ कर रहे हैं, वह यंत्री है और मैं यंत्र हूँ, तो समझो, यह जीवन मुक्त हो गया।

जिस प्रकार धनिकों के घर की सेविका मालिकों के बच्चों को अपने ही बच्चों की तरह पालती-पोसती है, पर मन-ही – मन जानती है कि उन पर उसका कोई अधिकार नहीं है,

उसी प्रकार हम सबको बच्चों की तरह प्रेम से पालन-पोषण करते हुए भी विश्वास रखना चाहिए कि इन पर हमारा कोई अधिकार नहीं है। हमें कई बार भव्य धर्मशाला में कुछ दिन ठहरने का अवसर मिलता है,

किंतु उसके प्रति यह भाव नहीं आता कि यह मेरी है, उसी प्रकार जगत् को धर्मशाला मानकर यह सोचना चाहिए कि हम कुछ समय के लिए ही इसमें रहने आए हैं।

यहाँ व्यर्थ की मोह, ममता व लगाव रखने से कोई लाभ नहीं होगा। सदाचार का पालन करते हुए भगवान् की भक्ति और असहायों की सेवा करते रहने में ही कल्याण है। स्वामीजी का प्रवचन सुनकर उस व्यक्ति की जिज्ञासाओं का समाधान हो गया।

English Translation

A gentleman approached Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa for satsang. During the conversation, he asked, ‘Maharaj, when will liberation happen?’ Paramhansji said, ‘When the ‘I’ is gone, then you will automatically start experiencing liberation.

Swamiji said, ‘I is of two types – one is a firm me and the other is a raw one. Nothing is mine in what I see, hear or feel,

Even the body is not mine. I am the embodiment of knowledge, I am sure. This is my house, this is my son, this is my wife, it is me to think of all this.

Swamiji says, the day it is firmly believed that God is doing everything, he is the machine and I am the machine, then understand, this life is liberated.

Just as the maid of the rich’s house takes care of the children of the masters like her own, but knows in her heart that she has no right over them,

In the same way, we should all believe that we have no right over them, even while raising them with love like children. We sometimes get the opportunity to stay for a few days in the grand Dharamsala,

But he does not feel that it is mine, in the same way, considering the world as a dharamsala, one should think that we have come to live in it only for some time.

Keeping unnecessary attachment, affection and attachment here will not help. Devotion to the Lord and serving the helpless, while following the virtues, is good. Hearing Swamiji’s discourse, the person’s queries were resolved.
