बचपन के संस्कार ने दिलाया नोबेल

बचपन से पचपन का समय बड़ा ही रोमांचक होता है। लेकिन एक छोटी सी बालिका गौंझा जिसे बचपन में कोई नहीं जानता था, पचपन वर्ष तक आते-आते वह दुनिया के लिए एक मिशाल बन गई।

बालिका गौंझा बहुत ही चंचल थी। वह अक्सर लोगों की नकल उतारकर अपनी दोस्तों के मायूस चेहरे पर खुशी की फुहार बिखेर देती थी। एक दिन गौंझा अपने भाई-बहनों के साथ बैठी थी।

सभी आपस में बातचीत कर रहे थे। गौंझा अपनी एक अध्यापिका की नकल उतार कर सभी को हंसा रही थी। यह अध्यापिका उसे अक्सर बात-बात डांटती थी।

हंसी की फुलझड़ियां चल रही थीं। अचानक बच्चों के कमरे की लाइट चली गई। बच्चों ने देखा कि बाहर रोशनी थी, लेकिन उनके घर पर नहीं। वे वहां से भागकर अपनी मां के कमरे में गए तो देखा कि वहां पर भी लाइट जल रही थी।

बच्चों ने पूछा, ‘मां, हमारे कमरे की लाइट क्यों नहीं है? यह सुनकर मां बोली, ‘तुम्हारे कमरे की लाइट मैंने बंद की है।’ क्योंकि तुम ‘दूसरों की आलोचना और नकल उतारने के लिए बिजली खर्च कर रहे थे। मुझे लगता है कि ऐसी बेकार की बातों के लिए बिजली जलाना ठीक नहीं है।’ यह सुनकर बच्चों ने अपना मुंह नीचे झुका लिया।

बच्चों को अपनी गलती का अहसास होते देख मां उनसे बोली, ‘किसी के व्यक्तिगत जीवन के बारे मे बातें करना और आलोचना करना सभ्य लोगों का काम नहीं है।’

बालिका गौंझा अपनी मां की बातों को गौर से सुन रही थी, उस पर इन बातों का इतना प्रभाव पड़ा कि उसने अपना संपूर्ण जीवन ही मानव सेवा के नाम कर दिया। यह बालिका गौंझा को आज पूरा संसार ‘मदर टेरेसा’ के नाम से जानता है।
