किसी का अंधा अनुसरण ना करने की सीख देती हिंदी कहानी

एक बार की बात है। एक गुरूजी थे। उनके बहुत से शिष्य थे। उन्होंने एक दिन अपने शिष्यों को बुलाया और समझाया-शिष्यों सभी जीवों में ईश्वर का वास होता है इसलिए हमें सबको नमस्कार करना चाहिए।

कुछ दिनों बाद गुरूजी ने एक विशाल हवन का आयोजन किया और कुछ शिष्यों को लकड़ी लेने के लिए पास के जंगल भेजा। शिष्य लकड़ियाँ चुन रहे थे कि तभी वहाँ एक पागल हाथी आ धमका। सभी शिष्य शोर मचा कर भागने लगे,” भागो….हाथी आया…पागल हाथी आया….”

लेकिन उन सबके बीच एक शिष्य ऐसा भी था जो इस खतरनाक परिस्थिति में भी शांत खड़ा था। उसे ऐसा करते देख उसके साथियों को आश्चर्य हुआ और उनमे से एक बोला, “ये तुम क्या कर रहे हो? देखते नहीं पागल हाथी इधर ही आ रहा है…भागो और अपनी जान बचाओ!”

इस पर शिष्य बोला, ” तुम लोग जाओ, मुझे इस हाथी से कोई भय नहीं है… गुरूजी ने कहा था ना कि हर जीव में नारायण का वास है इसलिए भागने कि कोई जरुरत नहीं।”

और ऐसा कह कर वह वहीं खड़ा रहा और जैसे ही हाथी पास आया वह उसे नमस्कार करने लगा।

लेकिन हाथी कहाँ रुकने वाला था, वह सामने आने वाली हर एक चीज को तबाह करते जा रहा था। और जैसे ही शिष्य उसके सामने आया हाथी ने उसे एक तरफ उठा कर फेंक दिया और आगे बढ़ गया।

शिष्य को बहुत चोट आई, और वह घायल हो कर वहीँ बेहोश हो गया।

जब उसे होश आया तो वह आश्रम में था और गुरूजी उसके सामने खड़े थे।

गुरूजी बोले, “हाथी को आते देखकर भी तुम वहाँ से हटे क्यों नहीं जबकि तुम्हे पता था कि वह तुम्हे चोट पहुंचा सकता है।”

तब शिष्य बोला, “गुरूजी आपने ही तो ये बात कही थी कि सभी जीवों में ईश्वर का वास होता है। इसी वजह से मैं नहीं भागा, मैंने नमस्कार करना उचित समझा।”

तब गुरूजी ने समझाया –

“बेटा तुम मेरी आज्ञा मानते हो ये बहुत अच्छी बात है मगर मैंने ये भी तो सिखाया है कि विकट परिस्थितियों में अपना विवेक नहीं खोना चाहिए । पुत्र, हाथी नारायण आ रहे थे ये तो तुमने देखा। हाथी को तुमने नारायण समझा। मगर बाकी शिष्यों ने जब तुम्हे रोका तो तुम्हे उनमे नारायण क्यों नज़र नहीं आये। उन्होंने भो तो तुम्हे मना किया था ना। उनकी बात का तुमने विश्वास क्यों नहीं किया।उनकी बात मान लेते तो तुम्हे इतनी तकलीफ का सामना नहीं करना पड़ता, तुम्हारी ऐसी हालत नहीं होती।जल भी नारायण है पर किसी जल को लोग देवता पर चढ़ाते है और किसी जल से लोग नहाते धोते हैं। हमेशा देश, काल और परिस्थिति को ध्यान में रखकर निर्णय लेना चाहिए।”

मित्रों, कई बार ऐसा होता है कि किसी ज्ञानवर्धक बात का असल भाव समझने की बजाये हम उस बात में कहे गए शब्दों को पकड़ कर बैठ जाते हैं। गुरूजी ने शिष्यों को प्रत्येक जीव में नारायण देखने को कहा था जिसका अर्थ था कि हमें सभी का आदर करना चाहिए और किसी को नुक्सान नहीं पहुंचना चाहिए। लेकिन वह शिष्य बस उनके शब्दों को पकड़ कर बैठ गया और उसके जान पर बन आई।

अतः इस कहनी से हमें ये शिक्षा मिलती है कि हमें दूसरों कि बात का अनुसरण तो जरुर करना चाहिए मगर विशेष परिस्थिति में अपने विवेक का प्रयोग करने से नहीं चूकना चाहिए। हमें अपनी परिस्थिति के अनुसार ही निर्णय लेना चाहिए।
