राम भक्त हनुमान को महाबली माना गया है, जो अजर अमर है। यह सब जानते है कि हनुमान जी भगवान शंकर का अवतार है।

लेकिन कुछ लोगों का कहना है कि गुजरात के डांग जिले के आदिवासियों की मान्यता अनुसार डांग जिले के अंजना पर्वत में स्थित अंजनी गुफा में ही हनुमानजी का जन्म हुआ था।

अंजनी माता ने शिव जी की प्राथना की ओर प्रभु शिव के आशीर्वाद से उन्हे इक दिव्य चमत्कारी पुतर की प्राप्ति हुई. यह तो सभी जानते है की हनुमान जी शिव के गयन्वि अवतार है इक दिन बचपन मे उन्होने ने सूर्या को कोई फल समज कर खाना चाहा वह धरती से उड़कर आसमान मे पहुचे ओर सूरज को निगलने लगे एसा देखकर इंद्र को बहुत गुस्सा आया ओर इंद्र ने अपने वजार से उस बालक पर प्रहार किया जिसकी वजह से वो बालक मूर्छित होकर ज़मीन पर गिर गया. हनुमान जी के धर्म पिता श्री पवन देव जी को भी जब यह पता चला तो उनको भी बहुत गुस्सा आया तो उन्होने वायु का प्रवाहर रोक दिया तब सभी देव देवताओ ने मिल्कर उस बालक को अलग अलग तारह की शक्तिया प्रदान की इंद्र के प्रहार से बालक की टॉदी . अंदर की तरफ घुस गयी टॉदी को संस्कृत मे हनु कहते है जिसकी वजह से उनका नाम हनुमान पड़ गया इतनी शक्तिया पाकर ओर चंचल मान की वजह से बाल हनुमान अक्सर ऋषि मुनियो को परेशन करते थे एसी इक शरारत क बाद अंगीरा ओर बिघुवंश के मुनियो ने क्रोधित होकर शारप दिया के हनुमान अपने बल को भूल जाए ओर वो उन्हे तब तक याद ना आए जब तक की उन्हे कोई याद ना दिलाए
लेकिन वहीँ कुछ लोगों का मानना हैं कि हनुमानजी का जन्म झारखंड राज्य के उग्रवाद प्रभावित क्षे‍त्र गुमला जिला मुख्‍यालय से 20 किलोमीटर दूर आंजन गांव की एक गुफा में हुआ था।

हनुमानजी इस कलयुग के अंत तक अपने शरीर में ही रहेंगे। वे आज भी धरती पर विचरण करते हैं। हनुमानजी को धर्म की रक्षा के लिए अमरता का वरदान मिला था। इस वरदान के कारण आज भी हनुमानजी जीवित हैं और वे भगवान के भक्तों तथा धर्म की रक्षा में लगे हुए हैं। जब कल्कि रूप में भगवान विष्णु अवतार लेंगे तब हनुमान, परशुराम, अश्वत्थामा, कृपाचार्य, विश्वामित्र, विभीषण और राजा बलि सार्वजनिक रूप से प्रकट हो जाएंगे।

क्यों आज भी जीवित हैं हनुमानजी? – कलयुग में श्रीराम का नाम लेने वाले और हनुमानजी की भक्ति करने वाले ही सुरक्षित रह सकते हैं। हनुमानजी अपार बलशाली और वीर हैं और उनका कोई सानी नहीं है। धर्म की स्थापना और रक्षा का कार्य 4 लोगों के हाथों में है- दुर्गा, भैरव, हनुमान और कृष्ण।

यदि मनुष्य पूर्ण श्रद्घा और विश्वास से हनुमानजी का आश्रय ग्रहण कर लें तो फिर तुलसीदासजी की भांति उसे भी हनुमान और राम-दर्शन होने में देर नहीं लगेगी। कलियुग में हनुमानजी ने अपने भ‍क्तों को उनके होने का आभास कराया है।

ये वचन हनुमानजी ने ही तुलसीदासजी से कहे थे- ‘चित्रकूट के घाट पै, भई संतन के भीर। तुलसीदास चंदन घिसै, तिलक देत रघुबीर।।’

हनुमानजी कलियुग में गंधमादन पर्वत पर निवास करते हैं, ऐसा श्रीमद् भागवत में वर्णन आता है।

क्यों सिन्दूर चढ़ता है हनुमानजी को? : हनुमानजी को सिन्दूर बहुत ही प्रिय है। इसके पीछे ये कारण बताया जाता है कि एक दिन भगवान हनुमानजी माता सीता के कक्ष में पहुंचे। उन्होंने देखा माता लाल रंग की कोई चीज मांग में सजा रही है। हनुमानजी ने जब माता से पूछा, तब माता ने कहा कि इसे लगाने से प्रभु राम की आयु बढ़ती है और प्रभु का स्नेह प्राप्त होता है।

तब हनुमानजी ने सोचा जब माता इतना-सा सिन्दूर लगाकर प्रभु का इतना स्नेह प्राप्त कर रही है तो अगर मैं इनसे ज्यादा लगाऊं तो मुझे प्रभु का स्नेह, प्यार और ज्यादा प्राप्त होगा और प्रभु की आयु भी लंबी होगी। ये सोचकर उन्होंने अपने सारे शरीर में सिन्दूर का लेप लगा लिया। इसलिए कहा जाता है कि भगवान हनुमानजी को सिन्दूर लगाना बहुत पसंद है।

हनुमान दर्शन और कृपा : हनुमानजी बहुत ही जल्द प्रसन्न होने वाले देवता हैं। उनकी कृपा आप पर निरंतर बनी रहे इसके लिए पहली शर्त यह है कि आप मन, वचन और कर्म से पवित्र रहें अर्थात कभी भी झूठ न बोलें, किसी भी प्रकार का नशा न करें, मांस न खाएं और अपने परिवार के सदस्यों से प्रेमपूर्ण संबंध बनाए रखें। इसके अलावा प्रतिदिन श्रीहनुमान चालीसा या श्रीहनुमान वडवानल स्तोत्र का पाठ करें। मंगलवार और शनिवार के दिन हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाएं।
