ऐसे होने चाहिए प्रभु के सेवक

हजरत इब्राहीम बलख के बादशाह थे। उन्होंने एक बार एक गुलाम खरीदा। अपनी स्वाभाविक उदारता से उन्होंने प्रश्न किया, ‘तेरा नाम क्या है?’

गुलाम ने उत्तर दिया, जिस नाम से बुलाएं, वही मेरा नाम होगा मालिक।

बादशाह ने पूछा, तुम क्या खाओगे? गुलाम ने कहा, जो आप खिलाएं। बादशाह ने पूछा, तुम्हें किस तरह के कपड़े पसंद हैं?

गुलाम ने कहा, जिन्हें आप पहनने के दें।

बादशाह ने इस बार पूछा, तुम कौन सा कार्य करना चाहोगे?

जो आप कहें।

इस बार बादशाह ने फिर पूछा, तुम्हारी इच्छा क्या है?

गुलाम ने कहा, भला गुलाम की भी कोई इच्छा होती है। बादशाह उस गुलाम की हाजिरजबावी से इतना प्रसन्न हुआ कि तख्त से उठकर उसने कहा, सचमुच तुम मेरे उस्ताद हो, क्योंकि तुमने मुझे सिखा दिया कि प्रभु के सेवक को कैसा होना चाहिए।

Hazrat Ibrahim was the ruler of Balakh. He once bought a slave. With his natural generosity, he asked, ‘what is your name?’

The slave answered, by the name, the name will be my master.

The emperor asked, what would you eat? The slave said, which you feed. The King asked, what kind of clothes do you like?

The slave said, let those who wear you wear.

The King asked this time, what work would you like to do?

Ghulam said, there is a desire for good slavery too. The Emperor was so pleased with the presence of that slave that he rose from the throne and said, “Truly you are my master, because you have taught me how the servant of the Lord should be.”
