हम सभी के पास है ये अनमोल बल

एक दिन सेवाग्राम में कुछ पहलवान आ पहुंचे और गांधीजी से अपने दो-चार खेल देख लेने का आग्रह करने लगे। गांधीजी ने कहा, ‘एक तो मेरे पास समय नहीं है, दूसरे जो चीज देश के काम नहीं आती, उसे देखने में मेरा मन नहीं लगता।

फिर तुम्हें इनाम चाहिए होगा, वह मैं कहां से दूंगा? मेरे पास तुम्हें देने के लिए कुछ नहीं है।’ लेकिन पहलवानों ने गांधीजी की बात नहीं मानी और अपने करतब दिखाने लगे। उनमें से एक ने एक मुक्के में पत्थर को तोड़ कर दिखा दिया।

गांधीजी बोले, ‘वाह भाई, तुम्हारे शरीर में तो इतना अधिक बल है कि एक मुक्का मारकर पत्थर तोड़ सकते हो। अगर मैं ऐसा करना चाहूं तो मेरा तो हाथ ही टूट जाए।’ गांधीजी की बात सुनकर वह पहलवान बोला, ‘पर आपके पास एक दूसरा ही उच्च प्रकार का बल है।’

गांधीजी बोले, ‘वह बल तो तुम्हारे अंदर भी है।’ पहलवान बोले, ‘जी नहीं। हमारे अंदर वह बल होता तो हम आज गांव-गांव भीख मांगते न फिरते।’ उनकी बातें सुनकर गांधीजी ने कहा, ‘वह बल जितना मेरे पास है, उतना ही तुम्हारे पास भी है। अंतर केवल इतना है कि वह आत्मबल तुम्हारे अंदर सो रहा है और मेरे अंदर जागृत है। मैंने उसको विकसित किया है।

हर व्यक्ति उसको विकसित कर सकता है। लेकिन हर व्यक्ति पहलवान नहीं बन सकता। तुम अपने शरीर के बल को सेवा के लिए प्रयोग कर अपने आत्मबल को जागृत कर सकते हो। इसके माध्यम से धीरे-धीरे तुम अपनी आजीविका भी चला सकने में समर्थ हो सकते हो।’ गांधीजी की बातें सुनकर पहलवान बोले, ‘बापू, आपने आज हमें सही राह दिखाकर हमारा जीवन सफल बना दिया है।’

The only difference is that the soul is sleeping inside you and is awake in me. I have developed it.

Every person can develop it. But not everyone can become a wrestler. You can awaken your self by using the force of your body for service. Through this you can be able to run your livelihood gradually. ‘ After listening to Gandhiji, the wrestler said, ‘Bapu, you have made our life successful by showing us the right path today.’
