चेतक और यशवंती जैसे देशभक्त जानवर

कोंडाणा के किले में चढ़ने के लिए तानाजी ने यशवंती नामक गोह प्रजाति की छिपकली का प्रयोग किया था जिसको फ़िल्म में नही दिखाया गया

वर्णन है, चढ़ाई के लिए तानाजी ने अपने बक्से से यशवंती को निकाला, उसे कुमकुम और अक्षत से तिलक किया और किले की दीवार की तरफ उछाल दिया किन्तु यशवंती किले की दीवार पर पकड़ न बना पायी

फिर दूसरा प्रयास किया गया लेकिन यशवंती दुबारा नीचे आ गयी, भाई सूर्याजी व शेलार मामा ने इसे अपशकुन समझा, तब तानाजी ने कहा कि अगर यशवंती इस बार भी लौट आयी तो उसका वध कर देंगे और यह कहकर दुबारा उसे दुर्ग की तरफ उछाल दिया, इस बार यशवंती ने जबरदस्त पकड़ बनाई और उससे बंधी रस्सी से एक टुकड़ी दुर्ग पर चढ़ गई

अंत मे जब यशवंती को मुक्त करना चाहा तो पाया कि यशवंती भी भारी वजन के कारण वीरगति को प्राप्त हो चुकी थी किन्तु उसने अपनी पकड़ नही छोड़ी थी

तो हमारे देश मे होने को तो चेतक और यशवंती जैसे देशभक्त जानवर भी हुए है

English Translation

To climb Kondana’s fort, Tanaji used a lizard named Yashwanti, which was not shown in the film.
It is narrated that Tanaji took out Yashwanti from his box for climbing, tilak her with Kumkum and Akshat and tossed her towards the fort wall but Yashwanti could not hold on to the fort wall
Then a second attempt was made but Yashwanti came down again, brother Suryaji and Shelar Mama considered it a bad omen, then Tanaji said that if Yashwanti comes back this time too, he will kill her and again threw her towards the fort saying, This time Yashwanti made a tremendous grip and with a rope tied to her a troop climbed the fort.
At last, when Yashwanti wanted to be freed, he found that Yashwanti had also died due to her heavy weight, but she did not release her grip.
So there are patriotic animals like Chetak and Yashwanti to be in our country.
