विश्व प्रेम की भावना से करें कर्म

स्वामी दयानंद ने फर्रुखाबाद में गंगा के किनारे एक झोपड़ी में अपना डेरा डाला था। कैलाश नाम का एक युवक की उन पर बड़ी ही श्रद्धा थी। एक दिन वह उनके पास आया और उसने अंदर आने की अनुमति मांगी।

दयानंद हंसते हुए बोले, ‘यदि कैलाश इस छोटे से झोपड़े में प्रवेश कर सकता है, तो उसे अवश्य आना चाहिए।’

अंदर आते ही कैलाश बोला, ‘स्वामी ! आज में आपके पास किसी खास उद्देश्य से आया हूं। बात यह है कि मेरे में यह सवाल आता है कि आप इतनी साधना करने के बाद आप मोक्ष प्राप्त करने के अधिकारी हो गए हैं, तब आप इस संसार की चिंता क्यों करते हैं।’

यह प्रश्न सुनकर स्वामीजी मुस्कुरा दिए वह बोले कैलाश ‘यह कोई प्रश्न है। जब मुझे साफ-साफ दिखाई दे रहा है कि संसार में जहां-जहां अशांति है, यह अश्रु सागर में डूब रहा है। संसार अत्याचारों से त्रस्त है।’

तब भला ऐसी स्थिति में उसे नजर अंदाज कैसे कर सकता हूं? मैं मोक्ष प्राप्ति का इच्छुक नहीं हूं, न ही शांतिपूर्वक मुक्ति चाहता हूं।

इसे अच्छी तरह समझ लो, कि जो सच्चे ह्दय से ईश्वर भक्ति और विश्व प्रेम की कामना से कर्म करते रहने चाहिए।

Swami Dayanand had camped in a cottage on the bank of Ganga in Farrukhabad. A young man named Kailash had great respect for him. One day he came to them and he asked for permission to come in.

Dayanand laughed, ‘If Kailash can enter this small hut, he must come.’

Kailash said, ‘Swami! In today you have come with a special purpose. The thing is that in me the question comes that after doing so much sadhana, you have become the authority to attain liberation, then why do you worry about this world?

Swamiji smiled when he heard this question, he said, “This is a question. When I see clearly that in the world where there is unrest, this tear is sunk in the ocean. The world is stricken with atrocities. ‘

Then how can I look at him in such a situation? I am not interested in salvation, neither do I seek peace independently.

Understand this, that those who have to work from the true heart with godly devotion and desire for world love.
