स्वामी विवेकानंद की प्रेरक कहानी – अपनी भाषा पर गर्व

बात उन दिनों की है जब स्वामी विदेश यात्रा पर गए थे। वहां उनके आदर-सत्कार के लिए कई लोग आए । उनमें से कुछ लोगों ने स्वामी से साथ हाथ मिलाना चाहा और कुछ ने अंग्रेजी में उनसे ‘हेलो’ कहा। स्वामी विवेकानंद ने जवाब में हाथ जोड़ते हुए सबको नमस्कार कहा।

यह देखकर कुछ लोगों ने सोचा कि स्वामी को अंग्रेजी नहीं आती है, इसलिए वो जवाब में नमस्ते कह रहे हैं। ऐसा सोचकर भीड़ में से एक व्यक्ति ने स्वामी विवेकानंद से हिंदी में पूछा कि आप कैसे हैं? हिंदी में सवाल सुनकर स्वामी विवेकानंद मुस्कुराए और उसे इंग्लिश में जवाब दिया, “आई एम फाइन, थैंक यूं।”

स्वामी विवेकानंद का अंग्रेजी में जवाब सुनकर वहां मौजूद सभी लोग हैरान रह गए। लोगों के मन में हुआ कि जब इनसे अंग्रेजी में सवाल किया गया तब हिंदी में जवाब मिला और फिर हिंदी में बात करने पर इंग्लिश में जवाब मिला। आखिर ऐसा क्यों हुआ। तभी एक व्यक्ति ने स्वामी विवेकानंद से यह सवाल पूछ ही लिया।

इसका जवाब देते हुए स्वामी विवेकानंद ने बड़ी ही विनम्रता से कहा कि जब आप लोगों ने अंग्रेजी में बात करके अपनी भाषा को आदर दिया, तब मैंने अपनी भाषा को मां मानकर उनका सम्मान करते हुए हिंदी में जवाब दिया।

स्वामी विवेकानंद की इस बात को सुनकर वहां मौजूद सारे विदेशी हैरान रह गए और तभी से हिंदी भाषा को पूरे विश्व में सम्मान मिलने लगा। इस किस्से से स्वामी विवेकानंद का अपनी भाषा और संस्कृति के प्रति प्यार और आदर झलकता है।

कहानी की सीख – हमेशा अपनी राष्ट्र भाषा को सम्मान देना और उस पर गर्व महसूस करना चाहिए। साथ ही अन्य भाषाओं का भी इतना ज्ञान होना जरूरी है कि हम सामने वाले की बात को समझ सके।
