सिकंदर इस किताब को पढ़कर बना था विश्व विजेता

एक बार सिकंदर के पास एक सैनिक अधिकारी आया और उसने एक सुंदर स्वर्ण जड़ित संदूक पेश किया। सिकंदर के पूछने पर उसने बताया कि वह संदूक ईरान में लूट के दौरान मिला है जिसे वह भेंट स्वरूप देना चाहता है।

सिकंदर उस संदूक पर की गई नक्काशी देख बहुत प्रभावित हुआ और उसने अपने दरबारियों से पूछा कि संदूक में कौन-कौन सी कीमतें चीजे रखी जाएं।

एक दरबारी ने कीमती हीरे और जवाहरात रखने का सुझाव दिया, तो दूसरे ने कीमती वस्त्र रखने को कहा। किसी ने खजाने की चाबियों का गुच्छा रखने की सलाह दी तो किसी ने गोपनीय पत्रों को रखने का सुझाव दिया। सिकंदर को एक भी सुझाव ठीक नहीं लगा।

तब वह स्वयं मन ही मन सोचने लगा कि ऐसी कौन-सी वस्तु है, जिसने उसके जीवन को प्रेरणा दी है और वह उस वस्तु को इस कीमती संदूक में रख सकता है। सिकंदर को अचानक याद आया कि उसने बहुत समय पहले एक ग्रंथ पड़ा था। जिसके कारण है उसका पौरुष, साहस और पराक्रम जाग्रत हुआ। इसी कारण वह विश्व विजयी बन सका।

सारे दरबारी बड़ी हैरानी से सिकंदर के चेहरे पर उठते भावों को देख रहे थे। तभी सिकंदर ने आदेश दिया कि, इस संदूक में ‘महाकवि होमर द्वारा लिखित इलियड’ को रखना चाहिए।

यह मेरे लिए सबसे कीमती और बेहतरीन चीज है। इस पुस्तक ने मेरे जीवन को नया मोड़ दिया था और इसी के कारण मुझमें शौर्य भाव जाग्रत हुआ था।

Once upon a time, a military official came to Alexander and presented a beautiful gold-covered chest. On Alexander’s request, he told that the chestnut was found during the loot in Iran, which he wants to offer.

All the court officers were surprised to see the rising ups on Alexander’s face. At that time Alexander ordered that the ‘Illyad written by Mahakavi Homer’ should be kept in this box.

This is the most precious and best thing for me. This book has given a new turn to my life and because of this, bravery was awakened in me.
