जब तक विश्वास है, प्रगति है, जब विश्वास नहीं दुर्गति शुरू

एक बार प्रभु यीशु को साइमन नाम के एक भक्त ने भोज के लिए आमंत्रित किया। प्रभु यीशु जब उस व्यक्ति के घर पहुंचे तो मैग्दालिन नाम की स्त्री ने उनके पैर पकड़ लिए और उन्हें धोने लगी।

मैग्दालिन एक वेश्या थी। नगर में उसके चर्चे आम थे, इसलिए वह लोग उससे घृणा करते थे। साइमन आश्चर्य चकित था कि प्रभु ईशदूत हैं वह इस मैग्दालिन को दूर हटा देंगे। लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने ऐसा कुछ नहीं किया। उन्होंने मैग्दालिन को पैर धोने दिए।

प्रभु यीशु अपने भक्त साइमन के मन की बात समझ गए। उन्होंने उससे कहा, एक बार एक साहूकार को दो लोगों से क्रमशः 500 और 50 पेंस का ऋण वसूल करना था। उनके पास ऋण देने के लिए धन नहीं था। अतः उन्होंने दोनों का ऋण माफ कर दिया।

उन्होने पूछा, बताओ दोनों मे एक तीसरा व्यक्ति दोनों में से किसे पसंद करेगा ? साइमन ने उत्तर दिया जिसने उनका ऋण माफ किया उसे।साइमन की बात सुनकर प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, तुम्हारा कहना ठीक है साइमन। जब मैंने तुम्हारे घर में प्रवेश किया तो तुमने मेरे चरणों के लिए पानी नहीं दिया। इस स्त्री ने मेरे पांव धोए और अपने केशों से पोंछे।

मैं निश्चित तौर पर कह सकता हूं कि इस स्त्री के अनेक पाप श्रद्धा से धुल गए हैं। तभी वहां उपस्थित लोगों में से किसी ने प्रभु यीशु से पूछा, आपको दूसरों के पाप करने की शक्ति कहां से मिलती है ?

प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, मैग्दालिन का यह विश्वास है कि संत की सेवा करने से सारे पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं, इसने उसे निष्पाप बना दिया।

संक्षेप में

दुनिया विश्वास पर टिकी है। हमें विश्वास है कि हम यदि भगवान की पूजा करेंगे तो वो मनोवांछित फल देंगे। हमारे पापों को क्षमा कर पुण्य देंगे। उनपर यही विश्वास हमारा उद्धार करता है।

Once the Lord Jesus, a devotee named Simon, invited for a banquet. When the Lord Jesus arrived at the person’s house, a woman named Magdalen grabbed his feet and began to wash them.

Magdalene was a prostitute. His discussions in the city were common, so that people hated him. Simon was amazed that the Lord is the messenger he would take away this Magdalene. But the Lord Jesus did nothing like that. They let Magdalene wash their feet.

The Lord Jesus understood the meaning of his devotee Simon’s mind. They told him, once a moneylender had to recover the loan of 500 and 50 pence respectively from two people. They did not have the money to lend. So they waived both debts.

He asked, Tell me, who will be a third person in both of them? Simon answered, who forgave his debt. The Lord Jesus said to Simon, “You are right to say Simon. When I entered your house, you did not give water for my steps. This woman washed my feet and wiped it with my hair.

I can certainly say that many sins of this woman are washed away by reverence. Then one of the people present there asked the Lord Jesus, where do you get the power to commit others’ sins?

The Lord Jesus said, Magdalene has faith that by serving the saint all sins are destroyed, it has made him innocent.
