क्षणभंगुर जीवन

सभी धर्मों में मानव जीवन को क्षणभंगुर बताते हुए हर क्षण सत्कर्म व अपने कर्तव्यपालन में लगे रहने की प्रेरणा दी गई है। कहा गया है कि भगवान् व मृत्यु को हर क्षण याद रखना चाहिए ।

नारायण स्वामीजी ने कहा है, ‘दो बातों को भूल मत जो चाहता कल्याण। नारायण इक मौत को दूजे श्रीभगवान्।’ उर्दू के कवि जौक तो दुनिया को सराय बताते हुए लिखते हैं, ‘दुनिया है सराय इसमें बैठा तू मुसाफिर है, और जानता है यहाँ से जाना तुझे आखिर है।’

सारी चेतावनियों के बावजूद मानव न भगवान् को याद रखता है, न मौत को। वह किसी भी तरह धन-संपत्ति अर्जित करने, ऐशो- आराम की जिंदगी बिताने के सपनों में घिरा रहता है।

‘ राम नाम सत्य है’ उसके मुँह से कुछ क्षणों के लिए तभी निकलता है, जब वह किसी के शव के साथ श्मशान घाट तक जाता है। चिंता को आग देते वक्त तक उसे आभास होता है कि मृत्यु बिना बाट देखे कभी भी आकर दबोच सकती है।

वह वहाँ बैठा वैराग्य भाव से संसार के झूठे होने की बात करता है, पर वहाँ से लौटते ही सुखों की खोज में लग जाता है। संत-महात्मा समय-समय पर पल-पल का सदुपयोग करने की प्रेरणा देते हैं।

धन व सांसारिक सुखों के अहंकार से ग्रसित व्यक्ति किसी की बात पर ध्यान नहीं देता। कुछ कहते हैं, ‘भगवान् को वृद्धावस्था में याद करेंगे। जवानी में यदि भोगों का आनंद नहीं लिया, तो जीवन व्यर्थ हो जाएगा।

वह यह नहीं जानते कि मृत्यु बुढ़ापे की प्रतीक्षा नहीं करती। संत कबीर इसलिए कहते हैं, ‘कबीर नौबत अपनी दिन दस लेहु बजाय। यह पुर पट्टन, यह गली बहुरि न देखन आय।

English Translation

Describing human life as fleeting in all religions, it has been given inspiration to be engaged in good deeds and duty at every moment. It has been said that God and death should be remembered at every moment.

Narayan Swamiji has said, ‘Don’t forget two things, whoever wants welfare. Narayan, give one death to Sri Bhagavan.’

Jauk, the Urdu poet, writes while describing the world as an inn, ‘The world is the inn, you are a passenger sitting in it, and you know that you have to leave from here at last.’

Despite all the warnings, man remembers neither God nor death. By any means, he is surrounded in dreams of earning wealth, living a life of luxury.

‘Ram Naam Satya Hai’ comes out of his mouth for a few moments only when he goes to the cremation ground with someone’s dead body. By the time he gives fire to worry, he realizes that death can come and catch him at any time without looking at the weight.

Sitting there, he talks about the falsehood of the world, but as soon as he returns from there, he starts in search of happiness. Saints and Mahatmas give inspiration from time to time to make good use of every moment.

A person suffering from the ego of wealth and worldly pleasures does not pay attention to anyone. Some say, ‘Will remember the Lord in old age. If you do not enjoy pleasures in your youth, then life will be meaningless.

They do not know that death does not wait for old age. That’s why Saint Kabir says, ‘Kabir naubat his day ten lehu instead. Do not come to see this pur pattan, this street bahuri.
