श्रद्धा से कीजिए श्राद्ध जरूर मिलता है श्राद्ध का फल

संत एकनाथ मानवता, दया और करुणा के पक्षधर थे। एक समय की बात है उनके घर में श्राद्ध की तैयारियां चल रही थीं। विभिन्न तरह के व्यंजन बनाए जा रहे थे। घर पूरी तरह से स्वादिष्ट खाने की सुगंध से महक रहा था।

तभी वहां एक निर्धन परिवार गुजरा। उस परिवार में माता-पिता और बच्चे थे। वे लोग कई दिनों से भूखे थे। ऐसे में बच्चे खाने के लिए मचल उठे। तब उनकी मां ने समझाया, ‘बेटा! हमारे पास इतने पैसे नहीं है कि हम यह सुंगंधित भोजन कर सकें।’

घर के बाहर ही संत एकनाथ खड़े हुए थे। उन्होंने उस मां के द्वारा बच्चे को समझाने की बात सुन ली। उन्होंने सोचा जब शरीर ईश्वर का है तो यह भोग भी उन्हीं ईश्वर को लगेगा। उन्होंने अपनी पत्नी से यह बात कही, तब उन्होंने उस निर्धन परिवार को भोजन करवाया।

श्राद्ध नियम के अनुसार सभी तरह के भोजन बनाए गए थे। निमंत्रित ब्राह्मणों को जब इस बारे में पता चला तब उन्होंने श्राद्ध निमंत्रण में आने से मना कर दिया। संत एकनाथ ने विनम्रतापूर्वक पूरी बात समझाने की कोशिश की। लेकिन वह हठी ब्राह्मण अपनी बात पर अडिग रहे।

ऐसे में एकनाथ जी श्राद्ध भोज की चिंता करने लगे। तभी घर के एक सेवक ने कहा, ‘अब आपने रसोई पितरों के लिए बनाई है तो फिर सीधे उन्हें ही आमंत्रित क्यों नही करते?’ वे स्वयं आकर अपना भाग ग्रहण कर लेंगे।

सेवक की बात सुनकर संत एकनाथ ने ऐसा ही किया। पत्तलें सजाई गईं। भोजन परोसा गया। कहते हैं उनके तीन पितरों ने आकर भोजन ग्रहण किया और उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया।

जाति एवं दंभ से प्राप्त ब्राह्मण यह नहीं समझ सके कि श्राद्ध और श्रद्धा से अर्पित किया गया भोग होता है। यदि श्रद्धा सच्ची हो तो सभी जीवों में बसने वाले प्रभु प्रसन्न होते हैं। ऐसे में पितर संतृप्त होंगे, इनमें कोई संदेह नहीं है।

According to Shraddha Rules all types of food were made. When inviting Brahmins came to know of this, they refused to come to Shraddha invitations. Saint Eknath humbly tried to explain the whole point. But the stubborn Brahmins remained firm on their point of view.

Eknathji started to worry about Shraddha banquet. Then a servant of the house said, ‘Now you have made kitchen for the animals, then why not invite them directly?’ They will come and take their part.

Upon hearing the servant, Saint Eknath did the same. The stones were decorated. Food served It is said that three of his ancestors came and took food and blessed them.
