इन लोगों को नहीं दें दुःख बनी रहेगी प्रभु की कृपा

सूफी संत बायजीद ने घर छोड़कर वर्षों तक वन में तप किया। जब उन्हें साधना का लक्ष्य मिल गया, तो उन्होंने घर जाकर अपनी मां से मिलने का निर्णय लिया। घर पहुंचे तो उन्होने मां को कहते सुना कि, मेरे प्रभु मेरे दुःखी बेटे को सुख-शांति देना। उसे संतों का आश्रय मिले।

बायजीद ने बाहर से ही मां को आवाज लगाते हुए कहा, मां देख तेरा दुखी बेटा आ गया। मैं नासमझ था जो तेरी सेवा को छोड़कर तप कर रहा था। अब मैं तेरे पास ही रहकर तेरी सेवा करूंगा।

एक बार रात के समय मां ने पीने के लिए बायजीद से पानी मांगा। जब उन्होंने घड़े में से पानी लेना चाहा तो घड़ा खाली था। वह रात के समय ही नदी से पानी लेने के लिए चल दिए। जब वो आए तो मां सो चुकी थीं। उन्होंने सोचा यदि वह बर्तन नीचे रखते हैं तो मां जाग जाएगी। इसलिए वो पानी का बर्तन लिए घंटों तक खड़े रहे। जब मां की नींद खुली तब उन्होंने उन्हें पानी पिलाया।

Once at night, the mother asked for water from the bayogid to drink. When he wanted to take water out of the pitcher, the pitcher was empty. He used to go to take water from the river at night. When she came, the mother was asleep. They thought that if they put the utensil down then the mother would wake up. So he stood for water for hours. When the mother’s sleep started, she woke him up.
