इंसानियत और अच्छाई

ब्रिटेन के स्कॉटलैंड में फ्लेमिंग नाम का एक गरीब किसान था। एक दिन वह अपने खेत पर काम कर रहा था। अचानक पास में से किसी के चीखने की आवाज सुनाई पड़ी । किसान ने अपना साजो सामान व औजार फेंका और तेजी से आवाज की तरफ लपका।

आवाज की दिशा में जाने पर उसने देखा कि एक बच्चा दलदल में डूब रहा था । वह बालक कमर तक कीचड़ में फंसा हुआ बाहर निकलने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहा था। वह डर के मारे बुरी तरह कांप पर रहा था और चिल्ला रहा था।

किसान ने आनन-फानन में लंबी टहनी ढूंढी। अपनी जान पर खेलकर उस टहनी के सहारे बच्चे को बाहर निकाला।अगले दिन उस किसान की छोटी सी झोपड़ी के सामने एक शानदार गाड़ी आकर खड़ी हुई।उसमें से कीमती वस्त्र पहने हुए एक सज्जन उतरे

उन्होंने किसान को अपना परिचय देते हुए कहा- ” मैं उस बालक का पिता हूं और मेरा नाम राँडॉल्फ चर्चिल है।”

फिर उस अमीर राँडाल्फ चर्चिल ने कहा कि वह इस एहसान का बदला चुकाने आए हैं ।मांगो कितना धन दू?

फ्लेमिंग नामक उस किसान ने उन सज्जन के ऑफर को ठुकरा दिया ।
उसने कहा, “मैंने जो कुछ किया उसके बदले में कोई पैसा नहीं लूंगा।
किसी को बचाना मेरा कर्तव्य है, मानवता है , इंसानियत है और उस मानवता इंसानियत का कोई मोल नहीं होता ।”

इसी बीच फ्लेमिंग का बेटा झोपड़ी के दरवाजे पर आया।
उस अमीर सज्जन की नजर अचानक उस पर गई तो उसे एक विचार सूझा ।
उसने पूछा – “क्या यह आपका बेटा है ?”

किसान ने गर्व से कहा- “हां !”

उस व्यक्ति ने अब नए सिरे से बात शुरू करते हुए किसान से कहा- “ठीक है अगर आपको मेरी कीमत मंजूर नहीं है तो ऐसा करते हैं कि आपके बेटे की शिक्षा का भार मैं अपने ऊपर लेता हूं । मैं उसे उसी स्तर की शिक्षा दिलवाने की व्यवस्था करूंगा जो अपने बेटे को दिलवा रहा हूं।फिर आपका बेटा आगे चलकर एक ऐसा इंसान बनेगा , जिस पर हम दोनों गर्व महसूस करेंगे।”

किसान ने सोचा “मैं तो अपने पुत्र को उच्च शिक्षा दिला पाऊंगा नहीं और ना ही सारी सुविधाएं जुटा पाऊंगा, जिससे कि यह बड़ा आदमी बन सके ।अतः इस प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार करने मे कोई हर्ज नही है!!

बच्चे के भविष्य की खातिर फ्लेमिंग तैयार हो गया ।अब फ्लेमिंग के बेटे को सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्कूल में पढ़ने का मौका मिला।
आगे बढ़ते हुए उसने लंदन के प्रतिष्ठित सेंट मेरीज मेडिकल स्कूल से स्नातक डिग्री हासिल की।
फिर किसान का यही बेटा पूरी दुनिया में “पेनिसिलिन” का आविष्कारक महान वैज्ञानिक सर अलेक्जेंडर फ्लेमिंग के नाम से विख्यात हुआ।

यह कहानी यहीं खत्म नहीं होती! कुछ वर्षों बाद, उस अमीर के बेटे को निमोनिया हो गया ।
और उसकी जान पेनिसिलीन के इंजेक्शन से ही बची।
उस अमीर राँडाल्फ चर्चिल के बेटे का नाम था- विंस्टन चर्चिल , जो दो बार ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री रहे !
हैं न आश्चर्यजनक संयोग।

इसलिए ही कहते हैं कि व्यक्ति को हमेशा अच्छे काम करते रहना चाहिए । क्योंकि आपका किया हुआ हर अच्छा काम आखिरकार लौटकर आपके ही पास आता है ! यानी अच्छाई पलट – पलट कर आती रहती है!यकीन मानिए मानवता की दिशा में उठाया गया प्रत्येक कदम आपकी स्वयं की चिंताओं को कम करने में मील का पत्थर साबित होगा ।

English Translation

There was a poor farmer named Fleming in Scotland, Britain. One day he was working on his farm. Suddenly the sound of someone screaming was heard. The farmer threw his equipment and tools and hurried towards the sound.

On going in the direction of the voice, he saw that a child was drowning in the swamp. The boy was struggling to get stuck in the mud till the waist. He was trembling and screaming in fear.

The farmer hurriedly found a long branch. Playing on his own life, he took the child out with the help of that branch. Next day, a magnificent car parked in front of the small hut of that farmer. A gentleman wearing precious clothes came out of it.

He introduced himself to the farmer and said- “I am the father of that child and my name is Randolph Churchill.”

Then that wealthy Randolph Churchill said that he has come to avenge this favor. How much money should Mango give?

That farmer named Fleming turned down the gentleman’s offer.
He said, “I will not take any money in return for what I did.”
It is my duty to save someone, it is humanity, humanity and that humanity does not have any value for humanity. “

Meanwhile, Fleming’s son came to the door of the hut.
When that rich gentleman suddenly saw him, he thought of an idea.
He asked – “Is this your son?”

The farmer proudly said- “Yes!”

The person now started talking afresh and said to the farmer, “Well, if you do not approve of my price, then I do so that I take the burden of your son’s education on me. I want to get him the same level of education. I will make arrangements for getting my son, and then your son will become a human being on whom both of us will be proud. “

The farmer thought, “I will not be able to get my son higher education nor will he get all the facilities so that he can become a big man. So there is no harm in accepting this proposal !!”

Fleming got ready for the future of the child. Now Fleming’s son got a chance to study in the best school.
He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious St Mary’s Medical School in London.
Then this same son of the farmer became famous all over the world as the great scientist Sir Alexander Fleming, the inventor of “penicillin”.

This story does not end here! A few years later, the son of that emir got pneumonia.
And his life was saved by the injection of penicillin.
The son of that rich Randolph Churchill was named Winston Churchill, who was the Prime Minister of Britain twice!
Are not surprising coincidences.
