गुरु कोई भी हो सकता है, बस! सीखने की इच्छा होनी चाहिए

महादेव गोविंद रानाडे जब मुंबई हाईकोर्ट के जज थे। उन्हें नई-नई भाषाएं सीखने का शौक था। जब उन्हें पता चला कि उनका बारबर दोस्त बहुत अच्छी बांग्ला जानता था। तो उन्होंने उसे गुरु बना दिया। जितनी देर बारबर उनकी हजामत करता वे उससे बांग्ला सीखते।

यह देखकर उनकी पत्नी बोलीं औरों को पता चलेगा कि कि हाईकोर्ट के जज साहब साधारण आदमी से भाषा सीख रहे हैं। तो कितनी जग हंसाई होगी। यदि बांग्ला सीखना ही है तो किसी अच्छे से विद्वान की मदद ले सकते हैं।

रानाडे ने यह सुनकर पत्नी को समझाया कि, ज्ञान तो किसी से भी लिया जा सकता है। चाहे वह साधारण आदमी ही क्यों न हो। मुझसे इस बत से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि मैं एक साधारण आदमी से भाषा सीख रहा हूं। ज्ञान की चाह ऱखने वाले साधारण और असाधारण में फर्क नहीं करते। वे तो किसी से शिक्षित होकर अपने ज्ञान की प्यास बुझाते हैं।
