मुमताज़ महल का इतिहास / Mumtaz Mahal History in Hindi/English

मुमताज़ महल मुग़ल महारानी और मुग़ल शासक शाहजहाँ की मुख्य पत्नी भी थी. मुमताज की ही याद में उनके पति शाहजहाँ ने आगरा में ताजमहल का निर्माण किया था.

मुमताज़ महल / Mumtaz Mahal का  जन्मअरजुमंद बानू बेगम के नाम से आगरा के एक पर्शियन परीवार में अब्दुल हसन असफ खान की पुत्री के रूप में हुआ था. अरजुमंद बानू का निगाह 10 मई 1613 को 19 साल की आयु में प्रिंस खुर्रम से हुआ जो बाद में मुग़ल शासक शाहजहाँ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए, शाहजहाँ ने बाद में उन्हें “मुमताज़ महल” का भी शीर्षक दिया. 1607 में वह शाहजहाँ की मंगेतर बनी थी, और परीणामतः 1612 में वह उनकी तीसरी पत्नी बनी और शाहजहाँ की सबसे प्यारी पत्नी कहलाने लगी.

शाहजहाँ और मुमताज को चौदह बच्चे थे, जिनमे औरंगजेब, प्रिंस  शिकोन भी शामिल है, इसके साथ ही इन चौदह बच्चो में उनकी बेटी महारानी जहानारा बेगम भी शामिल है.

शाहजहाँ को अपनी पत्नी मुमताज़ पर ज्यादा और दुसरी पत्नीयो पर कम प्रेम था. शाहजहाँ ने दुसरी पत्नियो को कम और मुमताज़ को ज्यादा अधिकार दे रखे थे. शाहजहाँ, मुमताज से बेइंतहा मोहब्बत करने लगे थे और वे मुमताज़ को ही अपनी बेगम के रूप में देखना पसंद करते थे.

मुमताज महल ने अपनी मोहब्बत के चलते शाहजहाँ से निगाह किया था. मुमताज की सुंदरता को उनके जीवनभर में कई कवियों, लेखको ने अपनी कविताओ और लेख में निखारा है. शाहजहाँ अपने पुरे मुग़ल साम्राज्य की यात्रा मुमताज़ के साथ ही किया करते थे. शाहजहाँ को मुमताज़ पर इतना भरोसा हो गया था की उन्होंने मुमताज़ को शाही सील, मुहर उजाह के अधिकार भी दे रखे थे.

मुमताज़ ने बाद में बताया भी था की उन्हें कभी किसी प्रकार के राजनैतिक ताकत की कोई चाह थी ही नही. लेकिन फिर भी मुमताज़ पर महारानी नूर जहाँ का काफी प्रभाव पड़ा, मुमताज़ को हमेशा से ही मैदान में होने वाले हाथियों की लड़ाई बहोत पसंद थी.

मुमताज़ को अपने साम्राज्य की साधारण महिलाओ से मिलना, उनके साथ खेलना और बाते करना भी काफी पसंद था इसीलिए कई बार भी आगरा के गार्डन में भी टहलने जाया करती थी.

10 से भी ज्यादा बार गर्भवती होने के बावजूद मुमताज़ शाहजहाँ के साथ यात्रा पर जाती थी. यात्रा पर जाते समय वह पुरे मुग़ल साम्राज्य का भ्रमण करना पसंद करती थी, जिनमे उन्हें शाहजहाँ की सैन्य शक्ति को देखना काफी पसंद था. उन्हें कुल 14 बच्चे हुए थे, जिनमे से 7 जन्मपूर्व ही मर गये या किशोरावस्था में ही मारे गये.

मुमताज़ की मृत्यु और ताज महल

मुमताज़ महल / Mumtaz Mahal की मृत्यु 1631 में अपने चौदहवे बच्चे को जन्म देते समय हुई थी. मुमताज़ के शव को उस समय शाहजहाँ के चाचा दानियाल द्वारा तापी नदी के तट पर जैनाबाद गार्डन में दफनाया गया था.

शाहजहाँ को इस बात से काफी दुःख हुआ था, इसका शाहजहाँ के दिल पर काफी परीणाम हुआ. परिणामस्वरूप उनकी मृत्यु के बाद शाहजहाँ एक वर्ष के लिये शोक मानते हुए एकांत में रहने के लिए चले गये.

उनके शव को दिसम्बर 1631 में निकला गया और सोने से बनी शवपेटी में आगरा के पीछे दफनाया गया. आगरा के ही पीछे यमुना नदी के तट पर एक छोटे घर में  उनके शव को रखा गया था.

शाहजहाँ बुरहानपुर के पीछे ही अपने सैन्य दल के साथ रहने लगे थे. और वाही रहते हुए उन्होंने मुमताज़ की याद में एक विशाल महल बनाने की योजना बनाई. उनके सपने को साकार होने में पुरे 22 साल लगे, मुमताज़ की याद में बने उस महल को “ताजमहल” के नाम से जाना जाता है.

तब से लेकर आज तक ताजमहल को मोहब्बत की निशानी माना जाता है. और दुनिया भर के लोग मुमताज़ की याद में शाहजहाँ द्वारा बनाये ताजमहल को देखने आते है.

Mumtaz Mahal was also the Chief Wife of Mughal Empress and Mughal ruler Shah Jahan. In the memory of Mumtaz, his husband Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in Agra.

Mumtaz Mahal / Mumtaz Mahal was born as a daughter of Abdul Hassan Asaf Khan in a Persian family of Agra by the name of Arjumand Banu Begum. Arjumand Banu was seen on 10 May 1613 at the age of 19 by Prince Khurram, who later became famous as the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan, Shah Jahan later gave him the title of “Mumtaz Mahal”. In 1607, he became a fiancé of Shah Jahan, and in 1612 he became his third wife, and was called Shahjahan’s most beloved wife.

Shah Jahan and Mumtaz had fourteen children, including Aurangzeb, Prince Cikon, along with their fourteen children, including her daughter, Maharani Jahanara Begum.

Shah Jahan had little love for his wife Mumtaz and the other at the other. Shah Jahan had lowered the second wife and gave more rights to Mumtaz. Shah Jahan was engaged to love Mumtaz, and he liked to see Mumtaz as his begum.

Mumtaz Mahal had taken notice of Shah Jahan due to his love affair. The beauty of Mumtaz is enhanced throughout his lifetime by many poets, writers in his poems and articles. Shah Jahan used to visit his entire Mughal empire only with Mumtaz. Shah Jahan had so much confidence in Mumtaz that he had also given Mumtaz the right to seal the seal and the Muhar Ujah.

Mumtaz later told that he had no desire for any kind of political power. But even though Mumtaz had a great influence on Maharani Noor, Mumtaz always loved battling elephants in the field.

Mumtaz liked to meet the ordinary women of his empire, playing with him and talking, so many times he used to go for a walk in Agra’s garden too.

Despite being pregnant more than 10 times, Mumtaz used to travel with Shah Jahan. While on the journey, he preferred to visit the entire Mughal Empire, in which he liked watching Shahjahan’s military power. They had 14 children, of whom 7 were born before or died in adolescence only.

Mumtaz  death and Taj Mahal

Mumtaz Mahal / Mumtaz Mahal died in 1631 when giving birth to his fourteenth child. Mumtaz’s body was buried at the Janaabad Garden on the banks of the Tapi river by Shah Jahan’s uncle Danial.

Shah Jahan was deeply saddened by this, it had great effect on Shah Jahan’s heart. As a result, after his death Shahjahan went to live in solitude while mourning for one year.

His body was released in December 1631 and was buried behind Agra in a coffin made of gold. His dead body was placed in a small house on the banks of the river Yamuna, just behind Agra.

Shah Jahan started living with his army behind Burhanpur. And while living, he planned to build a huge palace in memory of Mumtaz. His dream took 22 years to come true, that palace built in memory of Mumtaz is known as “Tajmahal”.

From then on till date Taj Mahal is considered to be a symbol of love. And people from all over the world come to see the Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz.
