भक्त यदि सच्चा हो तो उसके बुलाने पर आते हैं कृष्ण

एक बार एक गरीब किसान था। उसने अपनी बेटी की शादी के लिए सेठ से पांच सौ रुपए उधार लिए। गरीब किसान ने अपनी बेटी की शादी के बाद धीरे-धीरे सब पैसा ब्याज समेत चुकता कर दिया।

लेकिन उस सेठ के मन में पाप आ गया। उसने सोचा ये किसान अनपढ़ है। इसे लूटा जाए। गरीब किसान ने कहा की मैंने आपका सारा रुपया-पैसे चुकता कर दिया है। अब सेठ गुस्सा हो गया और कोर्ट के द्वारा उस पर मुकदमा कर दिया।

जब कोर्ट में हाजिर हुआ बांके बिहारी का परम भक्त। जज बोले की आप कह रहे हो की आपने एक एक रुपए पैसा चुकता कर दिया। आपके पास कोई गवाह है? लेकिन गांव के किसी भी व्यक्ति ने सेठ के डर से किसी ने भी गवाही नही दी। उसने कहा की मेरे गवाह तो बिहारी लाल हैं।

जज ने पूछा की, कहां रहता है बिहारी लाल? किसान ने कहा, वो वृन्दावन में रहता है। कोर्ट से सम्मन लेकर कोर्ट का व्यक्ति  पहुंचा। और साइकिल पर सबसे पूछता घूम रहा है की यहां कोई बिहारी लाल रहता है।

लेकिन कोई नही जानता। फिर वह व्यक्ति बांके बिहारी मंदिर के पीछे पहुंचा। वहां पर एक हाथी की सूंड बनी हुई है जहां से बांके बिहारी के चरणों का चरणा मृत टपकता है। और लोग उसे अपने सर पर धारण करते हैं। वहीं पर एक 75 वर्ष के वृद्ध आए।

जिनके हाथ में लाठी थी। और उस कोर्ट के कर्मचारी ने उससे पूछा की यहां कोई बिहारी लाल नाम का व्यक्ति रहता है? उस बूढ़े आदमी ने कहा मेरा नाम ही बिहारी लाल है। कर्मचारी ने कहा की आपके नाम सम्मन है। उसने सम्मन ले लिया और अपने हस्ताक्षर कर दिए।

उस दिन कोर्ट में यही चर्चा थी की ऐसा कौन सा व्यक्ति बिहारी लाल है? जो इसकी ओर से गवाही देगा। गांव के लोग भी इस चीज को देखने के लिए कचहरी में उपस्थित थे।

सारा गांव एकत्र हुआ है। वो किसान भी आया। उसके लिए तो बिहारी लाल और कोई नही बांके बिहारी जी ही थे।

जब मुकदमा नंबर पर आया तो कोर्ट में नाम बुलाया गया। बिहारी लाल हाजिर हो। बिहारी लाल हाजिर हो। दो बार आवाज लगी तो कोई नही आया।

फिर आवाज लगी बिहारी लाल हाजिर हो। तो वही वृद्ध व्यक्ति कोर्ट में लाठी टेकता हुआ हाजिर हो गया। और उसने जज के सामने कहा की हुजूर, इस किसान ने महाजन का पाई पाई चुकता कर दिया है।

जज ने कहा की इसका सबूत (प्रमाण) क्या है? उस वृद्ध व्यक्ति ने कहा इसके घर में, फलाने कमरे में, अलमारी में, इतने नंबर की बही (हिसाब किताब वाली फाइल) रखी गई है। ये महाजन झूठ बोल रहा है।

कोर्ट का कर्मचारी उसी समय महाजन के घर गया और वो बही लेकर आया।जब जज ने वो फाइल देखी तो सारा का सारा हिसाब-किताब चुकता था।

लोग इस बात को देखकर बड़े अचम्भे में पड़े हुए थे। आपस में चर्चा कर रहे थे। लेकिन वो बिहारी लाल कोर्ट से अंतर्ध्यान हो चुके थे।जज ने किसान से पूछा- आपने ये बिहारी लाल नाम बताया। ये कौन हैं ? आपके कोई रिश्तेदार हैं क्या?

किसान ने कहा- हुजूर, मैं सच कहता हूँ की मुझे नही मालूम ये कौन थे ? जज ने कहा फिर आपने गवाही में बिहारी लाल नाम किसका लिखवाया ?

किसान ने कहा की गांव से कोई भी व्यक्ति मेरी और से गवाही देने को तैयार नही हुए। तो मेरा तो एक ही आश्रय थे। वो बांके बिहारी ही मेरे बिहारी लाल थे। और किसी बिहारी लाल को मैं नही जानता हूं।

ये सुनते ही उस जज की आँखों में आंसू भर गए और जज ने कोर्ट में रिजाइन ने दिया। जिसकी कोर्ट में मुझे जाना था वो मेरी कोर्ट में आए। उसी समय वो वृन्दावन की यात्रा पर निकल पड़े। और वो जज, जज बाबा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए। वहीँ वृन्दावन में बिहारी जी के मंदिर पर पड़े रहते थे। और बांके बिहारी में उनका अनन्य प्रेम हो गया।
