काम को खुद करने की ठान लेता है तो जरूर पूरा होता है

एक चिड़िया ने एक खेत में खड़ी फसल के बीच घोंसला बना कर अंडे दिए। उनसे समय आने पर दो बच्चे निकले। चिड़िया दाना चुगने के लिए रोज जंगल जाती। इस बीच उसके बच्चे अकेले रहते थे। चिड़िया लौटती तो बच्चे बहुत खुश होते और उसका लाया चुग्गा खाते।
एक दिन चिड़िया ने देखा बच्चे बहुत डरे हुए हैं। उन्होंने बताया- ‘आज खेत का मालिक आया था। वह कह रहा था कि फसल पक चुकी है। कल बेटों से खेत की कटाई के लिए कहेगा। इस तरह तो हमारा घोंसला टूट जाएगा फिर हम कहां रहेंगे?’
चिड़िया बोली- ‘फिक्र मत करो, अभी खेत नहीं कटेगा।’
अगले दिन सच में कुछ नहीं हुआ और बच्चे बेफिक्र हो गए।
एक हफ्ते बाद चिड़िया को बच्चे फिर डरे हुए मिले। बोले- ‘किसान आज भी आया था। कह रहा था कि कल नौकर को खेत काटने को कहेगा।’
इस बार भी चिड़िया ने बच्चों से कहा- ‘कुछ नहीं होगा, डरो मत।’
अगले हफ्ते बच्चों ने बताया कि किसान आज फिर आया था और कह रहा था कि फसल की कटाई में बहुत देर हो गई है। कल वह खुद ही काटेगा।
यह सुनकर चिड़िया बच्चों से बोली- ‘कल खेत कट जाएगा।’ वह बच्चों को तुरंत एक सुरक्षित घोंसले में ले गई।
हैरान बच्चों ने पूछा- ‘मां तुमने कैसे जाना कि इस बार खेत सचमुच कटेगा?’
चिड़िया बोली- ‘जब तक इंसान किसी काम के लिए दूसरों पर निर्भर रहता है, उसके संपन्न होने में संदेह रहता है। लेकिन जब वह काम को खुद करने की ठान लेता है तो जरूर पूरा होता है।’ किसान ने जब खुद खेत काटने की सोची, तभी तय हुआ कि अब खेत जरूर कट जाएगा।
