इंसानी जज़बे की सच्ची कहानी

ये कहानी एक लड़की के जीवन से जुडी हुई एक सच्ची कहानी है। जो हमें सिखाती है कि हमें कठिन से कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी सकारात्मक ही रहना चाहिए। और अपने लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करना चाहिए।

उस लड़की का नाम है Maricel Apatan ( मैरिकेल ऐप्टैन)। Maricel अपटन जब महज 11 साल की थी वो अपने अंकल के साथ पानी लाने के लिए बाहर गई। रास्ते में उन्हें चार -पांच लोगों ने घेर लिया , उनके हाथों में धारदार हथियार थे। उन्होंने अंकल से जमीन पर झुक जाने के लिए कहा और उन्हें बेहरहमी से मारने लगे .

ये देख Maricel सदमें में आ गयीं , वो उन लोगों को जानती थी क्योंकि वे उसके पडोसी थे। उसे लगा कि शायद अब उसकी जान भी नहीं बचेगी इसलिए  वो  उनसे बच कर भागने लगी। पर वो उस वक़्त छोटी थी और हत्यारे आसानी से उस तक पहुँच गए …वो चिल्लाने लगी कि मुझे मत मारो …मुझ पर दया करो …

पर उन दरिंदो ने उसकी एक ना सुनी , और उनमे से एक ने गले पर चाक़ू से वार किया । Maricel जमीन पर गिरकर बेहोश हो गयी .जब थोड़ी देर बाद उसे होश आया तो उसने देखा कि वहाँ खून ही खून था और वे लोग अभी भी वहीँ खड़े थे , इसलिए उसने बिना किसी हरकत के मरे होने का नाटक किया .

जब वे लोग चले गए तब वो उठी और घर की और दौड़ने लगी…. भागते -भागते ही उसने देखा कि उसकी दोनों हथेलियां हाथ से जुडी लटक रही हैं . यह देख Maricel और भी घबरा गयी , और रोते -रोते भागती रही …. जब वो अपने घर के करीब पहुँच गयी तब अपनी माँ को आवाज़ दी …

माँ बाहर आयीं और अपनी बेटी की ये हालत देख भयभीत हो गयीं , उन्होंने बेटी को तुरंत एक कम्बल में लपेटा और हॉस्पिटल ले गयीं . हॉस्पिटल दूर था , पहुँचते -पहुँचते काफी वक़्त बीत गया . डॉक्टर्स को कोई उम्मीद नहीं थी कि वे Maricel को बचा पाएंगे पर 5 घंटे के ऑपरेशन के बाद भी  वो ज़िंदा थी . पर डॉक्टर्स उसका हाथ नहीं बचा पाये थे .

परेशानियां यहीं नहीं ख़त्म हुईं , जब वे वापस गए तो उनका घर लूट कर जलाया जा चुका था . गरीब होने के कारण उनके पास हॉस्पिटल का बिल भरने के पैसे भी नहीं थे …पर दूर के एक रिश्तेदार आर्चबिशप अंटोनिओ लेडेसमा की मदद से वे बिल भर पाये और अपराधियों को सजा भी दिलवा पाये .

इतना कुछ हो जाने के बाद भी Maricel ने कभी भगवन को नहीं कोसा कि उसके साथ ही ऐसा क्यों हुआ , बल्कि उसका कहना है कि , “ ईश्वर में विश्वाश रखते हुए , मैं और भी दृढ निश्चियी हो गयी कि मुझे एक सामान्य जीवन जीना है . मुझे लगता है कि मैं दुनिया में किसी ज़रूरी मिशन के लिए हूँ इसीलिए मैं इस हमले से बच पायी हूँ .”

Maricel ने हाई स्कूल की पढ़ाई पूरी की और होटल मैनेजमेंट का कोर्स भी पूरा किया . और बचपन से खाना बनाने के शौक के कारण शेफ बनने की शिक्षा पूरी की.

इतनी बड़ी डिसेबिलिटी के बावजूद जीवन में आगे जाने के जज़बे को आस -पास के लोग नज़रअंदाज नहीं कर सकते थे , और जल्द ही Maricel को मीडिया हाईलाइट करने लगा . ऐसे ही एक कार्यक्रम को देख कर होटल एडसा शांग्री -ला , Manila, Philippines ने उसे अपने यहाँ किसी प्रोजेक्ट पर काम करने का मौका दिया .

Maricel के साथ काम करने वाले शेफ अल्ज़ामिल बोर्जा बताते हैं ,कि “वो मदद के लिए सिर्फ तभी पुकारती हैं जब उन्हें कोई गरम पात्र हटाना होता है या किसी शीशी का चिकना ढक्कन खोलना होता है .”

Maricel आज भी उसी होटल में बतौर शेफ काम करती हैं और अपने जज़बे के दम पर लाखो -करोड़ों लोगो को प्रेरित करती रहती हैं .

दोस्तों , अक्सर हम अपनी जीवन में आने वाली छोटी -मोटी परेशानियों से घबरा जाते हैं और अपना विश्वास कमजोर कर बैठते हैं , पर आज की ये कहानी बताती है कि हालात कितने ही खराब क्यों न हो हम उसे बदल सकते हैं। Maricel की कही एक बात हमें याद रखनी चाहिए- , ” यदि आप सपने देखें, कड़ी मेहनत करें और ईश्वर में आस्था रखें तो कुछ भी सम्भव है।”

The girl’s name is Maricel Apatan. Maricel Upton when she was just 11 years old went out to fetch water with her uncle. On the way, they were surrounded by four-five people, with sharp arms in their hands. He asked Uncle to bow down on the ground and started beating him mercilessly.

The hospital was far away, quite a long time had passed before reaching it. The doctors had no hope that they would be able to save Maricel, but she was still alive after 5 hours of operation. But the doctors could not save her hand.

Troubles did not end here, when he went back, his house was looted and burnt. Being poor, he did not even have the money to pay the hospital bill… but with the help of a distant relative Archbishop Antonio Ledesma, he was able to fill the bill and get the criminals punished.

After all this, Maricel never cursed Bhagwan as to why this happened to him, but he says, “Having faith in God, I became even more determined that I should live a normal life.” I feel that I am for some important mission in the world, so I have been saved from this attack. “

Maricel completed high school and also completed a course in hotel management. And completed his education to become a chef due to his hobby of cooking since childhood.

Despite such huge disability, the people around him could not ignore the spirit of going ahead in life, and soon Maricel was highlighted by the media. Seeing one such program, Hotel Edsa Shangri-La, Manila, Philippines gave him an opportunity to work on a project here.

Chef Alzamil Borja, who works with Maricel, explains that “she only calls for help when she has to remove a hot pot or open the smooth lid of a vial.”
