माँ काली का स्वरूप

सितंबर, 1899 में स्वामी विवेकानंदजी कश्मीर में अमरनाथजी के दर्शन के बाद श्रीनगर के क्षीरभवानी मंदिर में पहुँचे। वहाँ उन्होंने माँ काली का स्मरण कर समाधि लगा ली।

एक सप्ताह तक उन्होंने नवरात्रि पर्व पर एकांत साधना की। वे प्रतिदिन एक बालिका में साक्षात् माँ काली के दर्शनकर उसकी पूजा किया करते थे।

एक दिन उन्होंने श्रद्धालुजनों के बीच प्रवचन में कहा, ‘काली सृष्टि और विनाश, जीवन-मृत्यु, भले और बुरे, सुख और दुःख से युक्त संपूर्ण ब्रह्मांड का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं।

दूर से उनका वर्ण काला दिख पड़ता है, परंतु अंतरंग द्रष्टा के लिए वह वर्णहीन हैं। यह ब्रह्म से अभेद हैं तथा ये उन्हीं की क्रियाशक्ति का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं।

स्वामीजी ने कहा, ‘अत्याचारियों-दुर्जनों का संहार करते समय गले में मुंडमाल पहने, शस्त्र धारण किए, जिह्वा से टपकते रुधिर को देखकर अनायास आभास होता है कि ये आतंक की प्रतिमूर्ति हैं, जबकि ये सच्चे सरल हृदय भक्तों के लिए सौम्य और कृपामयी हैं।

अपने भक्तों को अमरत्व का वर देने के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहने वाली देवी हैं।’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘वस्तुतः ब्रह्म और काली, ईश्वर और उनकी क्रियाशक्ति-अग्नि और उसकी दाहिका शक्ति के समान एक और अभेद हैं।

उनके गुरु रामकृष्ण परमहंस ने मृत्यु से पूर्व कहा था, ‘नरेन, माँ काली तेरा पग-पग पर साक्षात मार्गदर्शन करती रहेंगी।’ जीवन के अंतिम दिनों में स्वामीजी जिधर भी जाते,

उन्हें माँ काली की उपस्थिति का बोध होता। उन्होंने काली द मदर कविता भी लिखी, जिसका निरालाजी ने हिंदी में अनुवाद किया।

English Translation

In September 1899, Swami Vivekananda reached the Kshirbhavani temple in Srinagar after having darshan of Amarnathji in Kashmir. There he remembered Mother Kali and took a tomb.

For a week, he meditated alone on the Navratri festival. He used to worship mother Kali every day after seeing a girl child.

One day he said in a discourse among the devotees, ‘Kali represents the whole universe consisting of creation and destruction, life and death, good and bad, happiness and sorrow.

His complexion appears black from a distance, but he is colorless to the intimate watcher. It is indistinguishable from Brahman and it represents His Kriya Shakti.

Swamiji said, ‘While killing the tyrants and the wicked, wearing a swaddle around the neck, wearing weapons, seeing the blood dripping from the tongue, one suddenly realizes that they are the embodiment of terror, while these sincere simple hearts are gentle and merciful to the devotees. .

She is a goddess who is always ready to give the boon of immortality to her devotees.

His guru Ramakrishna Paramhansa had said before his death, ‘Naren, Maa Kali will continue to guide you every step of the way’. Wherever Swamiji went in the last days of his life,

He would have sensed the presence of Maa Kali. She also wrote the poem Kali the Mother, which Niralaji translated into Hindi.
