सदानंद स्वामी श्रद्धानंद के शिष्य थे। उन्होंने काफी मेहनत से ज्ञान प्राप्त किया था। लेकिन उन्हें अपने ज्ञान पर अहंकार हो गया। यह उनके व्यवहार में भी दिखाई देने लगा। वह हर किसी को नीचा दिखाने की कोशिश करते। यहां तक कि वह अपने साथ शिक्षा ग्रहण कर रहे अपने मित्रों से भी दूरी बनाकर रहने लगे।

यह बात स्वामी श्रद्धानंद जी तक भी पहुंची। लेकिन एक दिन स्वामी श्रद्धानंद सामने से गुजरे तो सदानंद ने उन्हें भी अनदेखा कर दिया और उनका अभिवादन तक नहीं किया।

स्वामी श्रद्धानंद जी समझ गए कि इन्हें अहंकार ने पूरी तरह जकड़ लिया है और इनका अहंकार तोड़ना आवश्यक हो गया है। उन्होंने उसी समय सदानंद को टोकते हुए उन्हें अगले दिन अपने साथ घूमने जाने के लिए तैयार कर लिया।

अगली सुबह स्वामी श्रद्धानंद जी उन्हें वन में एक झरने के पास ले गए और पूछा, ज़रा बताओ तुम सामने क्या देख रहे हो? सदानंद ने कहा, गुरु जी पानी ऊपर से नीचे बह रहा है।

और गिरकर फिर दोगुने वेग से ऊंचा उठ रहा है। स्वामी जी ने कहा, मैं तुम्हें यहां एक विशेष उद्देश्य से लाया था। जीवन में अगर ऊंचा उठकर आसमान छूना चाहते हो तो थोड़ा इस पानी की तरह झुकना होगा।

This thing also reached Swami Shraddhanand ji. But one day Swami Shraddhanand passed through the front, Sadanand ignored them and even did not greet them.

Swami Shraddhanand ji understood that the ego has completely captured them and it has become necessary to break their ego. At the same time, he sharpened Sadanand and prepared him to go with him the next day.

Next morning Swami Shraddhanand Ji took them to a waterfalls in the forest and asked, tell me what are you looking at? Sadanand said, Guru Ji is flowing down from the water.

And falling again, it is rising higher than double velocity. Swamiji said, I brought you here with a special purpose. If you want to touch the sky high in the sky then you will have to bow down like this water.
