मानव में भगवान्

रामचंद्र डोंगरेजी महाराज परम विरक्त व ब्रह्मनिष्ठ संत थे। उन्होंने अपने जीवन में सौ से अधिक कथाएँ सुनाई, पर दक्षिणा में एक पैसा भी स्वीकार नहीं किया।

कथा के चढ़ावे के लिए आने वाला तमाम धन वे असहाय व अभावग्रस्तों के लिए भोजन की व्यवस्था और गरीब कन्याओं के विवाह के लिए भेंट कर देते थे।

अन्नदान को वे सर्वोपरि धर्म मानते थे। संत डोंगरेजी महाराज कहा करते थे, ‘प्रभु ने हमें जन्म इसलिए दिया है कि हम उनके बनाए गए संसार को सुखी बनाने में जीवन लगाएँ। यदि तुमको सुखी होना है, तो सबमें परमात्मा के दर्शन करके दूसरों को सुख और संतोष दो। दूसरों को सुख देना ही प्रभु की सच्ची पूजा है।

एक बार उनसे किसी जिज्ञासु ने प्रश्न किया, ‘अशांति क्यों बढ़ रही है?’ डोंगरेजी ने बताया, ‘धनार्जन की अंधी दौड़ ने अशांति बढ़ाई है। संतोषी और सात्त्विक जीवन जीने की अपेक्षा जबसे सांसारिक भोगों के प्रति लालसा बढ़ी है, तभी से धनार्जन की तृष्णा बलवती हुई है।

यही अशांति का मूल कारण है।’ कुछ क्षण रुककर वे कहते हैं, कितने ही लोगों को मूर्ति में भगवान् दिखाई देते हैं, पर उन्हें मानव में ईश्वर नहीं दिखाई देते।

यदि मानव एक-दूसरे में भगवान् के दर्शनकर दूसरों को सुखी करने का प्रयत्न करे, तो जगत् की बहुत सी समस्याएँ स्वतः हल हो जाएँगी। प्यासे को पानी,

भूखे को अन्न और रोगी को दवा देकर सेवा करने वाले लोग असल में प्रभु की ही पूजा करते हैं। मानव ही नहीं, माँ स्वरूपा गाय और अन्य मूक जीवों की सेवा करने से भी भगवान् प्रसन्न होते हैं।’

English Translation

Ramchandra Dongreji Maharaj was a supremely detached and celibate saint. He narrated more than a hundred stories in his life, but did not accept a single penny in dakshina.

He used to offer all the money that came for the offering of the story, for arranging food for the helpless and needy and for the marriage of poor girls.

He considered food donation as the supreme religion. Sant Dongreji Maharaj used to say, ‘The Lord has given birth to us so that we should spend our lives in making the world he created happy. If you want to be happy, then by seeing God in everyone, give happiness and contentment to others. Giving happiness to others is the true worship of God.

Once a curious person asked him, ‘Why is the unrest increasing?’ Dongreji said, ‘The blind run of money has increased the unrest. Ever since the craving for worldly pleasures has increased in comparison to living a contented and sattvik life, the craving for earning money has intensified.

This is the root cause of the unrest.’ After stopping for a few moments, he says, many people see God in an idol, but they do not see God in a human.

If human beings try to make others happy by seeing the Lord in each other, then many problems of the world will be solved automatically. water to the thirsty,

Those who serve by giving food to the hungry and medicine to the sick actually worship the Lord. Not only human beings, God is also pleased by serving the Mother Swaroopa Cow and other mute creatures.
