मिलती है प्रेमियों की संगत

सितारे मंद पड़जाये तो चमकाएं कहा उसको,
अगर सूरज हुआ ठंढा तो गरमाये कहाँ उसको,

जमी को मौत आजाये तो दफनाए कहाँ उसको,
समुंदर होजाये नापाक नहलायें कहाँ उसको,

आग हवा पानी मिट्टी से मिलकर बना सरीर,
ये जीवन एक धुंधली काया केहगये दास कवीर,

धन गिनने से बढ़ जाती है और भी मनकी प्यास,
मूरख मनवा धन क्या गिनना कहगये तुलशी दास,

ताना बाना टूट न जाये मनकी चदरिया बीनते बीनते,
अपनी गिनती भूल न जाना धन दौलत को गिनते गिनते,

भाई भतीजा कुटुम्ब कबीला साथ न तेरे जाएंगे,
सैकड़ो मन माटी के नीचे तुझे दवा कर आएंगे

वख्त से आंखे मिला ख्वाबो का चादर छोडदे,
धूप सिर पे आचुकि है अबतो बिस्तर छोड़दे

मिलती है प्रेमियों की संगत कभी कभी,
चढ़ती है श्याम नाम की रंगत कभी कभी,
मिलती है प्रेमियों की संगत….

दौलत के पीछे भागना इतना उचित नहीं,
लेती है जान इंसान की ये दौलत कभी कभी,
मिलती है प्रेमियों की संगत

सोहरत को पाके भूलो न भगवान को कभी,
लेता है छीन देकर ये इज्जत कभी कभी,
मिलती है प्रेमियों की संगत

हसने से पहले दूजे पर खुद को निहारिये,
दिखलाती है बुरे दिन ये आदात कभी कभी,
