मोक्ष के उपाय

प्रत्येक प्राणी किसी-न-किसी रूप में हर क्षण खुश रहने की आकांक्षा रखता है। वह किसी ऐसे अमृतरूपी अमोघ साधन की खोज में लगा रहता है, जो उसे सुखी-समृद्ध व स्वस्थ रखे।

वेदों में वायु, जल, अन्न, औषधि, विद्या, सत्य, विज्ञान, पवित्रता, सौंदर्य, कांति आदि को आत्मा-परमात्मा का नाम बताया गया है। इन सबके सदुपयोग से व्यक्ति अमर हो जाता है। यजुर्वेद में कहा गया है, ‘अमृतेन सर्वम। यानी भगवान् अमृत हैं और हम सब अमृत-पुत्र।’

कहा गया है, ‘अमृत-पुत्रों को अमृत या किसी मोक्ष सुख की प्राप्ति के लिए अन्यत्र भटकने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।’ वेदों के अनुसार, जीवन ही अमृत है।

ब्रह्मांड में तैंतीस देवों की जितनी भी गति, प्रगति तथा परमागति है, वह जीवन के लिए ही है। सुदीर्घ जीवन की कामना इसलिए की गई है कि अमृत-पुत्र मानव ज्यादा-से-ज्यादा सत्कर्म करता हुआ राष्ट्र-समाज का हित करता रहे।

उपनिषद् में कहा गया है, ‘अमृत पद ही मोक्ष पद है। अंधकार से मुक्त होना ही मुक्ति है। ईश्वर को जान लेने पर मानव के सर्व बंधनों का विनाश हो जाता है।

अविद्या का नाश, संशय का विनाश और दुष्कर्मों का क्षय होने पर जीव स्वतः मुक्ति प्राप्त कर लेता है।’ पदम् पुराण में भी कहा गया है, जिस प्रकार धन से वासनाओं की तृप्ति होती है,

वैसे ही सत्कर्मों में लिप्त रहने से या सांसारिक भोगों से विरत होने से हृदय और मन की संतुष्टि होती है। अतः मानव को हर क्षण वासनाओं से मुक्त सत्कर्मों में जीवन व्यतीत करना चाहिए।

English Translation

Every living being in some form or the other aspires to be happy every moment. He is always in search of such an infallible means of nectar, which will keep him happy, prosperous and healthy.

In the Vedas, air, water, food, medicine, learning, truth, science, purity, beauty, radiance, etc. have been described as the names of the soul and the Supreme Soul. By making good use of all these, a person becomes immortal. It is said in Yajurveda, ‘Amritena Sarvam. That is, God is nectar and we are all nectar-sons.’

It is said, ‘Amrit-sons need not wander elsewhere to attain nectar or any salvation happiness.’ According to the Vedas, life is nectar.

Whatever the speed, progress and ultimate progress of the thirty three gods in the universe, it is only for life. The wish for a long life has been made so that the nectar-son of human beings should continue to do more and more good deeds for the benefit of the nation and society.

In the Upanishads it is said, ‘Amrit pada is the only post of salvation. Liberation is freedom from darkness. On knowing God, all the bonds of human beings are destroyed.

With the destruction of ignorance, the destruction of doubts and the cessation of misdeeds, the soul automatically attains liberation.

Similarly, by indulging in good deeds or abstaining from worldly pleasures, the heart and mind are satisfied. Therefore, man should live in good deeds every moment free from desires.
