कभी सुना है रेगिस्तान में भी होता है सत्य का चमत्कार

बहुत समय पहले अरब देश में यात्रियों का एक काफिला रेगिस्तान से गुजर रहा था। अचानक लुटेरों के गिरोह ने काफिले को घेर लिया। लुटेरों ने हर यात्री की तलाशी लेकर रुपए तथा अन्य सामान छीन लिया।

एक बारह वर्षीय लड़के के पास से कुछ नहीं मिला। लुटेरों के सरदार ने पूछा, ‘तेरे पास से कुछ नहीं मिला, क्या अनाथ है?’

बच्चे ने कहा, ‘मैं अपनी बीमार बहन की खिदमत करने जा रहा हूं? मेरी मां ने सोने की पांच अशर्फियां मेरी बनियान में छिपा कर रख दीं थीं। जो मेरे पास हैं।’

लुटेरों के सरदार ने उस बच्चे से पूछा, ‘जब मां ने अशर्फियां छिपा कर रख दी थीं तो तुमने हमें क्यों बताया है।’ बच्चा बोला, ‘मां ने यह भी तो प्रेरणा दी थी कि जीवन में कभी झूठ मत बोलना चाहिए। आपने पूछा तो झूठ कैसे बोलता ?’

बच्चे की सत्यनिष्ठा ने लुटेरों के सरकार का ह्दय बदल दिया, उसने तमाम यात्रियों से लूटा हुआ धन वापस कर दिया। सरदार ने कहा, ‘बच्चे मैं भी आज से सत्य का पालन करने का संकल्प लेता हूं। अब मैं लूटपाट नहीं करूंगा।’ यही सत्यनिष्ठ बच्चा आगे चलकर खलीफा अमीन के नाम से विख्यात हुआ।
