महाराज गन्धर्वसेन की कहानी

यह कहानी है अंधबिश्वास की, अंधजलान की। एक नगर में एक शेठ के यहाँ धोबी आया करता था। लेकिन कुछ दिन तक वह धोबी शेठ के पास नहीं आया। और थोड़े दिन बाद जब वह धोबी उस शेठ के पास आया तो शेठ ने पूछा, “तुम इतने दिन कहाँ चले गए थे।” तो धोबी ने कहा, “तुमको पता नहीं! महाराज गन्धर्वसेन परलोक सिधार गए। उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। और उसी के शोक में मैंने अपने बाल मुंडवा लिए। मैंने अपना सिर गंजा कर लिया। और उसी की दुःख की बजह से मैं आपके पास नहीं आ पाया।

जब उस शेठ को पता चला की महाराज गन्धर्वसेन  मर गए तो उसे लगा, “जब यह धोबी होकर उनके शोक में, उनके गम में अपने बाल दे सकता है तो मैं तो एक शेठ हूँ मुझे भी उनके शोक में, उनके श्रद्धांजलि में अपने बाल देने चाहिए।” फिर यह सोचकर उस शेठ ने भी अपने बाल मुंडवा लिए। और अपने सारे परिवार में जो उसके बच्चे थे उसने सबके बाल मुंडवा लिए।

एक दिन वजीर शेठ के पास आए। वह शेठ से पूछने लगा की, “आप सब लोगों ने बाल क्यों मुंडवा रखे है?” तो शेठ कहने लगा, “अरे तुम्हे पता नहीं! महाराज गन्धर्वसेन परलोक सिधार गए। उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। और उन्ही को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए हम सबने अपने बाल मुंडवा लिए।” वजीर ने कहा. “अगर ऐसी बात है तो मैं भी उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दूंगा।” वजीर ने भी अपने बाल मुंडवा दिए।

उस वजीर को देखकर राजा पूछने लगा, “आपने अपने बाल क्यों मुंडवाए है?” तो वजीर ने भी वही कहा, “क्या आपको नहीं पता? महाराज गंधर्वसेन परलोक सिधार गए। और उनकी श्रद्धांजलि में मैंने अपने बाल मुंडवा लिए।” राजा ने कहा, “अगर ऐसी बात है तो हम भी अपने बाल मुंडवा लेंगे। और नगर में जितने भी लोग है सबको बोल दो बाल मुंडवा लेने के लिए। हम सब मिलकर महाराज गंधर्वसेन को श्रद्धांजलि देंगे।”

नगर के सारे लोगों ने अपने बाल मुंडवा लिए। कुछ दिन बाद वहाँ पर एक महात्मा आया। नगर में सारे गंजे लोगों को देखकर वह बड़ा हैरान हो गया की यहाँ के सभी लोग अपने बाल मुंडवाकर बैठे है। ऐसी क्या बात है? जब उसने सभी लोगों से पूछा तो लोगों ने कहा, “आपको पता नहीं! महाराज गंधर्वसेन परलोक सिधार गए। उनको श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए सबने अपने बाल मुंडवाए है।” तो वह महात्मा पूछने लगे, “आखिर यह महाराज गंधर्वसेन है कौन?” तो नगरबासी कहने लगे, “हमें नहीं पता, हमें तो राजा का आदेश आया और हमने बाल मुंडवा लिए।” तो महात्मा ने कहा, “मुझे राजा के पास लेकर चलो।”

महात्मा राजा के पास आए। उसने वही प्रश्न राजा से किया, “यह महाराज गंधर्वसेन है कौन? जिसके लिए सारे शहर ने अपने बाल मुंडवा लिए।” तो महाराज कहने लगे, “मुझे कुछ नहीं पता, मुझे तो वजीर ने बताया।” फिर वजीर को बुलाया गया।” वजीर ने कहा, “मुझे भी कुछ नहीं पता, मुझे तो शेठ ने बताया।” फिर सेठ को बुलवाया गया। सेठ ने कहा, “मुझे भी नहीं पता, मुझे तो मेरे धोबी ने बताया।” फिर धोबी को बुलवाया गया। और धोबी से पूछा गया, “कौन है आखिर यह महाराज गंधर्वसेन?” तो वह धोबी बोला, “गंधर्वसेन तो मेरे गधे का नाम था। और मैं उससे बहुत प्यार करता था। क्यूंकि मेरे सारे काम वही करता था। मेरी रोजी रोटी उसी से चलती थी। और जब उसकी मृत्यु हो गई तो उसको सम्मान देने के लिए मैंने महाराज गंधर्वसेन शब्द का उपयोग किया।”

धोबी की उस बात को सुनकर राजा ने, वजीर ने, उस शेठ ने सब ने अपना सिर पिट लिया और बोला, “हम न जाने बिना समझे एक दूसरे को अनुसरण करने लग गए की उसने जो किया है मुझे भी वह करना है।”

दोस्तों सायद आप सोच रहे होंगे की यह कहानी तो बहुत पुरानी है। लेकिन नहीं, यह कहानी बिलकुल नई है। यह कहानी आज की समय की है। हम भी यही करते है। कोई भी एक इंसान कुछ पागलपन करता है, कुछ अजीब करता है तो उसको देखकर सब भी वही करने लग जाते है। एक इंसान फटी हुई जीन्स पहनता है तो उसको देखकर लाखो करोड़ों लोग वही फटी जीन्स पहनना शुरू कर देता है। अगर कोई चस्मा उल्टा करके पहनता है तो उसको देखकर पता नहीं कितने लोग उल्टा चस्मा पहनना शुरू कर देते है। अगर कोई लड़की छोटे कपडे पहनती है तो उसको देखकर पता नहीं कितने लड़किया छोटे कपडे पहनना चालू कर देते है।

बिना सोचे समझे उसका मतलब क्या है? उसका परिणाम क्या होगा? यह नहीं सोचते। आज-कल बहुत सारी चीजे लोग इसी लिए करते है की सब कर रहे है। लोग सोचते है की अगर वह यह सब कुछ कर रहा है और हम नहीं करेंगे तो हम भोंदू दिखेंगे। हम मॉडर्न नहीं दिखेंगे। पर सच तो यह है की हम मॉडर्न बनने के चक्कर में बेबकुफ़ बन जाते है, मुर्ख बन जाते है। जिन बातों को, जिन कामों को हमें करने की कोई जरुरत नहीं हम वह सिर्फ इसलिए कर जाते है क्यूंकि सब कर रहे है इसलिए हमें भी करना है। फिर लोग कहते है, यह तो आज-कल का फैशन है। आज -कल सभी ऐसा करते है।

And all the children in his family, who had children, shaved the hair of everyone.

One day Wazir came to Sheth. He started asking Sheth, “Why have all of you guys shaved hair?” So Sheth started saying, “Oh, you don’t know! Maharaja Gandharvasen went to the other world. she passed away. And we all shaved our hairs to pay homage to them. ” The wazir said. “If that’s the case then I will pay tribute to him too.” Wazir also got his hair shaved.

Seeing that wazir, the king asked, “Why have you shaved your hair?” So the Wazir also said, “Don’t you know?” Maharaja Gandharvasen went to the other world. And in his tribute, I shaved off my hair. ” The king said, “If this is the case then we will also get our hair shaved. And tell all the people in the city to get the hair shaved. Together we will pay homage to Maharaja Gandharvasen. ”

All the people of the city shaved their hair. A few days later a Mahatma came there. Seeing all the bald people in the city, he was shocked that all the people here are sitting with their hair shaved. What is the matter? When he asked all the people, people said, “You don’t know! Maharaja Gandharvasen went to the other world. Everyone has shaved their hair to pay tribute to them. ” So the Mahatma started asking, “Who is this Maharaja Gandharvasen?” So the townspeople said, “We don’t know, we got the king’s order and we shaved the hair.” So the Mahatma said, “Take me to the king.”

Mahatma came to the king. He asked the same question to the king, “Who is this Maharaja Gandharvasen? For which the whole city shaved its hair. ” So Maharaj started saying, “I don’t know anything, the wazir told me.” Then the Wazir was called. ” Wazir said, “I don’t know anything, Sheth told me.” Seth was summoned again. Seth said, “I don’t know either, my washerman told me.” The washerman was then called. And the washerman was asked, “Who is this chef Gandharvasen?” So the dhobi said, “Gandharvasen was the name of my donkey. And I loved him very much. Because all my work used to do the same. My daily bread used to go by that. And when he died, I used the word Maharaja Gandharvasen to honor him. ”

Hearing that washerman of the washerman, the king, the wazir, the sheath beat up his head and said, “We started following each other without knowing that I have to do what he has done.”
