महाभारत का युद्ध चल रहा था। एक ओर अर्जुन थे, जिनके सारथी थे ‘श्री कृष्ण’। तो दूसरी ओर कर्ण थे और उनका सारथी ‘शल्य’। भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने कर्ण के सारथी से कहा- ‘तुम हमारे विरुद्ध जरूर लड़ना पर मेरी एक बात जरूर मानना।’
