सपने में देखा कामयाबी का रास्ता

सिलाई मशीन से एक बहुत ही रोचक कहानी जुड़ी हुई है। कहते हैं जब सिलाई मशीन के आविष्कारक एलियास होवे ने सिलाई मशीन बना तो ली लेकिन जब वह उसे चलाने का प्रयास करते, तो बार-बार या तो धागा उलझ जाता या टूट जाता।

एलियास ने मशीन की अच्छी तरह जांच-परख की तो उन्हें पता चला कि बाकी सब तो ठीक है केवल सूई ही परेशानी पैदा कर रही है। एलियास हैरान थे। सूई में क्या कमी है, यह उन्हें बार-बार परेशान क्यों कर रही थी, उन्हें बिल्कुल भी समझ में नहीं आ रहा था।

नींद में भी उनके दिमाग में हर समय सूई घूमती रहती थी। एक दिन उन्होंने सपने में देखा कि एक आदिवासी अपना भाला लेकर उन्हें मारने के लिए आ रहा है।

भाला धूप में चमक रहा था। अचानक एलियास की तेज नजर उस भाले पर गई तो उसने भाले की नोक पर एक छेद देखा। छेद धूप में चमक रहा था। एलियास सपने में बार-बार उस छेद को देखते रहे। तभी उनकी नींद खुल गई।

वह खुशी से उछल पड़े और अपनी सिलाई मशीन के पास गए। उन्होंने इस बार उसके लिए एक ऐसी सूई बनाई जिसकी नोक के पास छेद बना हुआ था। इसके बाद उन्होंने उस सूई को मशीन में फिट किया। सूई की नोक में धागा डाला। धागा डालने के बाद उन्होंने मशीन चलाई तो धागा निरंतर चाल के साथ दौड़ता रहा, न उलझा और न टूटा।
