हनुमान जी का जीवन हमें शिक्षा देता है कि सेवा ही वो मार्ग है जिससे जगत तो क्या जगदीश को भी जीता जा सकता है। प्रभाव से नहीं स्वभाव से ही किसी को जीता है।

विद्यावान गुणी अति चतुर – हमारी सारी विद्या और सारे गुणों का समर्पण अगर श्री राम जी कार्य के लिए नहीं है तो वह ज्ञान बोझ है। हनुमान जी तो राम काज के लिए ही सारे सद्गुणों का उपयोग करते हैं।

विभीषण ने पूछा कि मै इतना राम नाम जप करता हूँ तो भी प्रभु श्री राम मेरे ऊपर कृपा और मुझे दर्शन क्यों नहीं देते हैं ? हनुमान जी ने कहा कि तू राम नाम तो जपता है पर राम जी का काम नहीं करता। राम नाम जपने के साथ-साथ जिस दिन रामजी का काम भी करने लगेगा , दर्शन हो जायेंगे।

हनुमान जी को तो राम काज की सूचना मिली और सोचना बंद। सेवा, सुमिरन, सहजता और इतना सब करने के बाद भी निराभिमानिता ये सब हनुमान जी से हमें सीखने को मिलते हैं। सारे कार्य स्वयं करते हैं पर श्रेय सारे वानरों को दिलाते हैं। जिसने अपने मान का हनु कर रखा है, वहीं श्री हनुमान जी हैं।

रामु लखनु दोउ बंधुबर रूप सील बल धाम।
मख राखेउ सबु साखि जगु जिते असुर संग्राम॥
इनको देखते ही अत्यन्त प्रेम के वश होकर मेरे मन ने जबर्दस्ती ब्रह्मसुख को त्याग दिया है। मुनि ने हँसकर कहा- हे राजन्! आपने ठीक (यथार्थ ही) कहा। आपका वचन मिथ्या नहीं हो सकता॥ जगत में जहाँ तक (जितने भी) प्राणी हैं, ये सभी को प्रिय हैं। मुनि की (रहस्य भरी) वाणी सुनकर श्री रामजी मन ही मन मुस्कुराते हैं (हँसकर मानो संकेत करते हैं कि रहस्य खोलिए नहीं)। (तब मुनि ने कहा-) ये रघुकुल मणि महाराज दशरथ के पुत्र हैं। मेरे हित के लिए राजा ने इन्हें मेरे साथ भेजा है॥ ये राम और लक्ष्मण दोनों श्रेष्ठ भाई रूप, शील और बल के धाम हैं। सारा जगत (इस बात का) साक्षी है कि इन्होंने युद्ध में असुरों को जीतकर मेरे यज्ञ की रक्षा की है॥

Today’s thoughts on God

Hanuman ji’s life teaches us that service is the only path by which not only the world but even Jagdish can be conquered. One is won by nature and not by influence.

Knowledgeable, virtuous, very clever – If the dedication of all our knowledge and all our qualities is not for the work of Shri Ram ji, then that knowledge is a burden. Hanuman ji uses all the virtues only for the cause of Ram.

Vibhishan asked that even though I chant the name of Ram so much, why does Lord Shri Ram not bless me and give me darshan? Hanuman ji said that you chant the name of Ram but do not do the work of Ram ji. The day you start doing the work of Ramji along with chanting the name of Ram, you will be seen.

Hanuman ji got information about Ram’s work and stopped thinking. Service, remembrance, spontaneity and lack of pride even after doing so much, we get to learn all this from Hanuman ji. He does all the work himself but gives the credit to all the monkeys. The one who has sacrificed his honor is Shri Hanuman ji.

As soon as I saw them, under the influence of extreme love, my mind forcibly gave up the pleasure of Brahma. The sage laughed and said – O king! You said it right. Your word cannot be false. As far as (however) there are creatures in the world, he is dear to all. Hearing the sage’s (mysterious) speech, Shri Ramji smiles in his heart (laughing as if indicating not to reveal the secret). (Then the sage said-) This Raghukul Mani is the son of Maharaj Dasharatha. The king has sent them with me for my benefit. These two great brothers, Ram and Lakshman, are the abodes of form, modesty and strength. The whole world is witness (to the fact) that he has protected my yagya by defeating the demons in the war.
