जब नारद जी ने पूछा, और श्रीहरि ने बताया, ‘कर्म बड़ा या भाग्य!’

इस दुनिया में कर्म को मानने वाले लोग कहते हैं भाग्य कुछ नहीं होता। और भाग्यवादी लोग कहते हैं किस्मत में जो कुछ लिखा होगा वही होके रहेगा। यानी इंसान कर्म और भाग्य इन दो बिंदुओं की धूरी पर घूमता रहता है। और एक दिन इस जग को अलविदा कहकर चला जाता है।

भाग्य और कर्म को बेहतर से समझने के लिए पुराणों में एक कहानी का उल्लेख मिलता है। एक बार देवर्षि नारद जी वैकुंठधाम गए, वहां उन्होंने भगवान विष्णु का नमन किया। नारद जी ने श्रीहरि से कहा, ‘प्रभु! पृथ्वी पर अब आपका प्रभाव कम हो रहा है। धर्म पर चलने वालों को कोई अच्छा फल नहीं मिल रहा, जो पाप कर रहे हैं उनका भला हो रहा है।’

तब श्रीहरि ने कहा, ‘ऐसा नहीं है देवर्षि, जो भी हो रहा है सब नियति के जरिए हो रहा है।’

नारद बोले, मैं तो देखकर आ रहा हूं, पापियों को अच्छा फल मिल रहा है और भला करने वाले, धर्म के रास्ते पर चलने वाले लोगों को बुरा फल मिल रहा है।

भगवान ने कहा, कोई ऐसी घटना बताओ। नारद ने कहा अभी मैं एक जंगल से आ रहा हूं, वहां एक गाय दलदल में फंसी हुई थी। कोई उसे बचाने वाला नहीं था। तभी एक चोर उधर से गुजरा, गाय को फंसा हुआ देखकर भी नहीं रुका, वह उस पर पैर रखकर दलदल लांघकर निकल गया। आगे जाकर चोर को सोने की मोहरों से भरी एक थैली मिली।

थोड़ी देर बाद वहां से एक वृद्ध साधु गुजरा। उसने उस गाय को बचाने की पूरी कोशिश की। पूरे शरीर का जोर लगाकर उस गाय को बचा लिया लेकिन मैंने देखा कि गाय को दलदल से निकालने के बाद वह साधु आगे गया तो एक गड्ढे में गिर गया। प्रभु! बताइए यह कौन सा न्याय है?

नारद जी की बात सुन लेने के बाद प्रभु बोले, ‘यह सही ही हुआ। जो चोर गाय पर पैर रखकर भाग गया था, उसकी किस्मत में तो एक खजाना था लेकिन उसके इस पाप के कारण उसे केवल कुछ मोहरें ही मिलीं।’

वहीं, उस साधु को गड्ढे में इसलिए गिरना पड़ा क्योंकि उसके भाग्य में मृत्यु लिखी थी लेकिन गाय के बचाने के कारण उसके पुण्य बढ़ गए और उसे मृत्यु एक छोटी सी चोट में बदल गई। इंसान के कर्म से उसका भाग्य तय होता है।

Then Shriharri said, ‘It is not like that, whatever is happening, all is happening through destiny.’

Narada said, I am coming to see, the sinners are getting good results and those who do good and who walk on the path of religion are getting bad results.

God said, tell someone such incident. Narad said now I am coming from a forest, where one cow was trapped in the swamps. There was no one to save her. Only then a thief went through it, even after seeing the cow trapped, he did not stop, he stepped on it and ran out of the swamp. Going forward, the thief found a bag full of gold straps.

After a while, an elderly sadhu passed from there. He tried his best to save the cow. With the force of whole body saved that cow, but I saw that after the removal of cow from the swamps, the saint went ahead and fell into a pit. Lord! Tell me which justice is this?

After listening to Naarad ji, Lord said, ‘It is true. The thief who ran away on the cow had a treasure in his destiny, but due to his sin, he found only a few pieces. ‘

At the same time, that monk had to fall in the pit because his fate was written in death, but due to the saving of the cow, his virtue increased and he died in a minor injury. His destiny is determined by the deeds of man.
