तोल-मोल कर बोलें बोल, हर समस्या होगी गोल

स्वामी विवेकानंद बचपन से ही साहसी और निडर बालक थे। उनके बचपन का नाम नरेंद्र था। एक बार वह अपने दोस्त के यहां खेलने गए। तब उनकी उम्र 8 साल थी। मित्र के घर चंपा का पेड़ था।

नरेंद्र को उस पर लटक कर खेलना काफी पसंद था। हर दिन की तरह उस दिन भी उसी पेड़ पर चढ़कर नरेंद्र खेल रहे थे। तभी उस मित्र के दादाजी उनके पास आए। उन्हें डर था कि कहीं स्वामी जी उसपर से गिर न जाएं। इसलिए उन्होंने समझाया। नरेंद्र तुम इस पेड़ पर दोबारा मत चढ़ना।

नरेंद्र ने पूछा, क्यों? क्यों कि इस पेड़ पर ब्रह्मराक्षस रहता है। वो रात में सफेद कपड़े पहन कर घूमता है। और देखने में भी बड़ा भयानक है। इस पेड़ पर चढ़ने वाले व्यक्ति की वो गर्दन तोड़ देता है।

नरेंद्र को ये सब बातें सुनाकर दादाजी चले गए लेकिन नरेंद्र पुन: उस पेड़ पर चढ़ गए। उनके मित्र ने देखा वह बोला तुमने सुना नहीं दादाजी ने क्या कहा।

नरेंद्र ने कहा, ‘मित्र डरो मत सिर्फ इसलिए कि किसी ने कुछ कहा और तुमने उस पर यकीन कर लिया. खुद ही सोचो दादाजी की बात अगर सही होती तो रोज मैं इस पेड़ पर चढ़ता हूं मेरी गर्दन न जाने कितनी बार टूट चुकी होती।’

Narendra said, ‘Do not be afraid of friends just because someone said something and you believed in him. Think of yourself if grandfather’s words were true, then I would climb on this tree every day, without breaking my neck, how many times would have been broken.
