यहां मौजूद है जन्नत का रास्ता

बाबा फरीद को उनके गुरु ख्वाजा बहाउद्दीन ने कहा था कि, खुदा को हमेशा याद रखना और अपाहिजों की सेवा करते रहना। ऐसा करने पर तुम्हारे लिए जन्नत का रास्ता हमेशा खुला रहेगा। कुछ दिनों बाद बाबा फरीद मुलतान गए। वहां के शम्सतवरेज के दरवाजे के बारे में यह बात प्रसिद्ध थी कि जो इस दरवाजे से गुजरता है, उसे जन्नत मिलती है।

बाबा फरीद से कई श्रद्धालुओं ने कहा कि, आप मुलतान आए हैं, ऐसे में जन्नत के दरवाजे से गुजरकर जन्नत जाने के प्रति आश्वस्त हो जाएं। तब बाबा फरीद ने कहा, ‘मेरे गुरु ने जो जन्नत का रास्ता दिखाया था, उसे मैं नहीं छोड़ूंगा।’

बाबा फरीद मुलतान में कई महीनों तक रहे और वहां सेवा भाव से खुदा की सेवा में जुटे रहे। वह जब मुलतान से लाहौर लौटे तो उनके गुरु बहाउद्दीन ने पूछा, तुमने मुलतान में जन्नत के दरवाजे को देखा या नहीं? बाबा फरीद ने उत्तर दिया, ‘जो रास्ता एक बार आपने मुझे दिखा दिया है, उसे छोड़कर दूसरा रास्ता देखने की मैंने जरूरत नहीं समझी।’

यह बात सुनकर गुरु बोले, ‘फरीद वास्तव में मुक्ति का सरल रास्ता वही है, जिस पर तुम चल रहे हो।

Baba Farid was told by his Guru Khwaja Bahawuddin that, always remembering God and serving the disadvantaged. If you do this then the path of havens  will always be open for you. A few days later, Baba Farid went to Multan. It was known about the door of the hospital, that the person who passes through this door gets a jannat.

Many devotees from Baba Farid said that, you have come to Multan, in such a way be convinced of going through the door of heaven and going to Paradise. Then Baba Farid said, ‘I will not leave the path of Jannat which my Guru had shown.’

Baba Farid stayed for several months in Multan and remained in service for the service of God. When he returned to Multan from Lahore, his master Bahauddin asked, did you see the door of heaven in Multan or not? Baba Farid replied, ‘The way you once showed me, I did not feel the need to leave it and look for another way.’

After listening to this, the master said, ‘Fareed, in fact, the simple way of emancipation is the one on which you are walking.
