स्वामी विवेकानंद की प्रेरक कहानी – लक्ष्य पर ध्यान

यह उन दिनों की बात है जब स्वामी विवेकानंद अमेरिका में थे। एक दिन वो सैर के लिए निकले और घूमते-घूमते एक पुल के पास पहुंचे। तभी उनकी नजर पुल पर खड़े बच्चों पर गई। सभी बच्चे बंदूक से पुल के नीचे बहती बड़ी-सी नदी में तैर रहे अंडों के छिलकों पर निशाना लगाने की लगातार कोशिश कर रहे थे। कई कोशिशों के बाद भी वो एक बार भी अंडे के छिलके पर सही निशाना नहीं लगा पाए।

यह देखकर स्वामी विवेकानंद बड़े हैरान हुए। उनके मन में हुआ कि मुझे भी एक बार कोशिश करनी चाहिए। उन्होंने बच्चों से बंदूक मांगी और खुद निशाना लगाने लगे। स्वामी ने बंदूक तानी और अंडे के छिलके पर पहली बार में ही निशाना लगा लिया। पहला निशाना सही लगने के बाद उन्होंने एक के बाद एक कई सारे अंडे के छिलकों पर सही निशाना लगाया।

स्वामी के निशाने की कला को देखकर बच्चे हैरान रह गए। बच्चों ने स्वामी से पूछा कि आखिर वो कैसे एक के बाद एक सही निशाना लगा रहे हैं। आगे बच्चों ने कहा कि वो बहुत देर से उन छिलकों पर निशाना लगाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, लेकिन ऐसा हो नहीं रहा है। हमें भी बताइए सही तरीके से निशाना लगाने के लिए क्या करना चाहिए।

स्वामी विवेकानंद ने बच्चों को जवाब देते हुए कहा कि इस दुनिया में ऐसा कोई काम नहीं है, जो किया नहीं जा सकता। दुनिया में कोई भी काम असंभव नहीं है। बस अपना सारा ध्यान उस काम की तरफ लगाओ, जिसे तुम्हें करना है या जिसे तुम कर रहे हो। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि अगर निशाना लगाते वक्त तुम्हारा सारा ध्यान अंडे के छिलके पर होता, तो तुम निशाना ठीक तरीके से लगा पाते।

कहानी से सीख :

लक्ष्य को पूरा करने की चाहत रखने वाले को हमेशा पूरा ध्यान उस लक्ष्य पर ही रखना चाहिए। ऐसा करने से लक्ष्य चूकता नहीं है।

Inspirational Story of Swami Vivekananda – Meditation on Goal

It is a matter of those days when Swami Vivekananda was in America. One day he went out for a walk and while roaming around came near a bridge. Then his eyes went to the children standing on the bridge. All the children were constantly trying to aim with guns at the eggshells floating in the large river flowing under the bridge. Even after many attempts, he could not hit the eggshell properly even once.

Swami Vivekananda was very surprised to see this. It happened in his mind that I should also try once. He asked the children for guns and started aiming himself. Swami pointed out the gun and aimed at the eggshell at first. After getting the first target right, he hit several egg shells one after the other.

The children were astonished to see the art of Swami’s aiming. The children asked Swami how he was aiming one right after the other. Further the children said that they have been trying to target those peels for a long time, but it is not happening. Also tell us what should be done to aim correctly.

Swami Vivekananda replied to the children and said that there is no such work in this world which cannot be done. Nothing is impossible in the world. Just put all your attention on the work you have to do or what you are doing. He further told that if all your attention was on the eggshell while aiming, then you would have been able to hit the target properly.

Lessons from the story:

One who wants to accomplish the goal should always keep full focus on that goal. Doing so does not miss the target.
